In a Maui state of mind

I miss greenery.  And being warm---not too warm, though.  Just that warm with the sunshine on your back and you are sitting on a lovely beach somewhere enjoying life, not going to work--or even thinking about work.

I miss flowers and the thick green lawn. Oh, and my Adirondack chairs in the yard. The hummingbirds battling for nectar and butterflies too.

I know Spring is coming, but it is these days that I miss it most.

Now you've resorted to mental cruelty. Okay, in truth my faith in spring is bolstered each day as they lengthen noticeably as we approach the vernal equinox. Plus Valentine's Day always has a "springy" feeling too it.

I suppose a chair in the snow isn't quite the same thing.

Yep... we were in the 50's yesterday and the snow around us was melting and dripping and it made me think of spring and that it is so near and yet so very far away.

THIS is why I used to look forward to my wedding anniversary. Because we would always go away in February. It's the worst month of the year.
Now I'm lucky if the sun shines.....

I know exactly what you mean. I always get cabin fever in February. And Alice starts whining to go OUT...and then come IN...and then go OUT....and then....
Spring can't come quickly enough.

I was just talking about you and your frog pond Lin. How are those frogs doing in this weather?

I hope the little heat wave that we're just beginning to have will also get to you. Maybe that will help a little bit.
