Sometimes you gotta work with what you've got

Yea! We finally got snow! Em and I were so darn excited, we ran out to catch make snow angels and catch snowflakes on our tongues.

Okay, so we look like idiots (notice I didn't post my photo), but this lack of snow in Chicago this winter has been depressing.  We actually have a forecast of "inches" of snow this morning...we'll see. There's been many promises, but no recordable snowfalls so far this winter. I'm not holding my breath...

Dueling angels...

Happy weekend, pallies.  May you find joy in what surrounds you.  Sometimes you just gotta appreciate what you've got.

OMG, that picture made me laugh so hard. I hope you get at least an inch later. I would totally love a foot of snow at this point. But then not again for another year. Just like Thanksgiving dinner. Love the gluttony for a day, but then scram!

Yes, work with what you have.

Maybe you'll get more. Hope. Hope.

Very cool effect on the second photo...we disagree about snow so I shall not comment on your lament...

We just had rain on top of our snow which made ice.
I fell.
I want summer.

If it was snowing in San Diego I'd do just that. However, it's not something you can do in the rain - which is what we have now.

That's funny! I love how you and Em find fun in even a little bit of snow!

That just cracked me up. Now I know that it doesn't take a whole lot of snow to make a snow angel.

We got a few inches here in Cleveland but I am not going out there to lay in it. It's odd though because usually we get Chicago's weather.

Good lookin' snow angels, even in such a light dusting of snow. Hope you get some more this weekend! :)

Kathy--We don't have an inch...more of a dusting, but it is still lovely. I would like a foot of snow so we can go sledding or something fun. I mean, if it's gonna be winter, we might as well have some fun too, right?

Chuck--I'm gonna miss Em next year for stuff like this. I'm gonna look nuts doing that myself out in the yard. :(

Paul--Hi Paul!! They look at me crazy too, but I LIKE snow. I mean, if it's gonna be winter, we might as well have snow! Besides, it gives us all something to crab about.

Vanilla--I would like a fresh dusting every few days so it just looks pretty and clean all the time. Although the driving was interesting the other morning--everyone forgot how to drive in snow!

Grace--It wasn't an effect--that was MY snow angel. I had on my workout clothes and looked ridiculous, so no photo of me making a snow angel. :)

Patty--Oh, that's worse. I hope you are okay!

Marilynne--Yeah, you can't do that in rain, sadly. Well, you can, but you would just look silly. Not that we don't look silly...

Beaded Tail--Oh, we were so excited to see the flakes coming down... FINALLY! I hope the neighbors didn't see us!

Ann--Just a dusting will do! I was amazed it worked too.

Karen--If I was there, I would make you do it so we could laugh...and everyone else would just roll their eyes and suck their teeth. Somehow, I think you would join me. :)

Candy--We got a little more, but not enough in my opinion. An inch or two would be great. Or maybe a foot so we could go sledding! But only on a weekend so I don't have to drive to work in that stuff.
