Joe said that half of this tarp was unattached by the end of the day. I don't give it much hope to last the winter...but you never know. Ugly has a way of lingering, you know?
Oh Hobbes, it was much more fun seeing you then the ole tarp. The tarp is really attractive though. We sure am glad we got to see that.LOL. The band was good too. Well done on all the videos.Have a great day.
Why would they do that? Besides being god-awful ugly, it's going to block the light coming into the house. I do appreciate the gratuitous cat shots. That was the highlight of the video.
This must be a new trend because I've seen several houses around here who have done the same thing. One house looked like they used really cheap black plastic (like plastic garbage bags) That noise would drive me batty
Marg--Isn't that thing awful?? Criminy. It came down late last night. Rats. :( *snicker*
Vanilla--He is the cute part of the video--the tarp, not so much.
Catherine--That tarp came down last night. ;) I think we are all glad for that.
Nancy--I don't know what they were doing. I'm guessing protecting their patio furniture instead of putting it the garage??? Who knows. It came down last night. Hooray!
Chuck--I think I'd rather have cows as neighbors, Chuck.
Patty--Ottoman or a giant meatloaf! Hahaha! Yeah, he's a big boy.
Anne--I wondered how they would stand that noise all winter--but it took itself down last night. Lasted longer than the hour I gave it.
Katnip--Yep, he is huge! 17 lbs of stripey goodness!
Grace--Isn't he funny out there in the yard???! He has cabin fever already.
Diana--told ya.
Ann--Where do these people come up with these ideas?? They have a 2 car garage and they can't put their patio furniture in there??? Sheesh. Anyway, it came down last night. :)
Candy--I don't know what kinda idea that was. It ended up coming down last night. Thank goodness. I hope they don't put it back up again!
They were probably in one of the windows filming their crazy neighbors filming a tarp! LOL! Video does add weight to even cats doesn't it? Isabella is on my lap and she watched Hobbes very closely!
I just think life is more fun if we notice the little stuff and laugh...a LOT. I'm lucky to live with a family who humors me, joins in the fun and tolerates me most days.
I have a wee house and yard, but it is loaded with adventures. There isn't a backyard pond owner out there who has more stories about her frogs, snails, fish than me. And I don't even make this stuff up!
I'm glad you are here to laugh with me. Welcome, pallies!

Thank you for focusing on Kitty. Hobbes is a wonder!
Haha oh sweet Hobbes does not look impressed. How can the neighbours stan the sound of the tarp? Yup...your neighbours are wack-a-doodle indeed!
Stay strong friend!
xo Catherine
Is this supposed to "winterize" their porch??? Wow.
I agree with the others. Hobbes is far more interested than whacky neighbors.
The s**t that goes on in this neighborhood comes from critters and goes on fields. Makes the corn and beans grow strong. :)
Well, at least they chose a color that matches the scheme of the surrounding area.
ps: I hate to even type this but as you panned down to Hobbes he really DID look like an ottoman

Um. Hobbes is HUGE!!!
And your neighbors? Srsly crazypants, and not in a good way.
You've got an orange meatloaf in your yard!
You've got some weird-ass neighbors!

Ei-yi-yi!! What are they THINKING?!?
Thanks for the orange stripey ottoman shots, much nicer than the ol' brown tarp! :)

I vote they use some extra duct tape to make sure it's properly secured!
So what was the point of the tarp? Time to build a taller fence my dear. LOL
Beaded Tail--I wondered if they saw me video taping their yard!! :O I hope Isabella didn't chuckle at my ottoman-shaped cat. :)
Lisa--Oh, it's down already! Thank goodness.
Diane--I would need those extra tall fences that they use on highways!
