Weekend lazy

Yea! It's the weekend.

No swimming.  No snarky stories about the pool,
and no having to squeeze into my suit.
No rushing. No waking up early,
and no driving in traffic.

I'm gonna rest from the week past,
and for the week ahead.
I'm gonna rest from the weary world
and everyone who wants something from me.

Happy relaxation time! My Mommeh can never sleep in past about 6:00 in the morning, but she almost always takes an afternoon nap on the weekend.

Hi Lin, I miss you!! I wish my brain was better at remembering to visit my favorite blogs. I hate that I can go so long and forget to visit. I was just catching up on some of your latest posts.

How's the no swearing for Lent going? I'd fail that one in a heartbeat...

Daisy--Oh, poor mommeh! I can sleep late AND take a nap in the afternoon. :) The kitties like that, I've found.

Melodie--I did! I hope you did too!

Diane--Oh, it goes so fast. :(

Chuck--To do it all over again. Sigh.

Grace--I hope you did too, Grace! Your are one weekend closer!

Vanilla--I don't think I meant it to be a poem or just a few lines of thinking. I love weekends. Hate to see them end.

Mary Ann--That's my girl. I like to spend time with her on the weekends.

Tracy--I hope you relaxed and maybe took a nap!

Pricilla--Well, I'm not sure about earning it, but it feels good to chill.

Ann--Hooray! I love weekends. They should be longer.

Beaded Tail--I wish weekends were longer and the week shorter. :)

Silver--Oh, I can't imagine! :( Boo on weekend jobs!!

Melissa--Hi, pally! Glad you stopped in. I'm like that too--always run out of time to get around to all the blogs I like. I'm not good at the Lent thing. I try, so I guess that is good, right?

Katherine--I hope you relaxed too, pally!

That sounds like a fabulous break/weekend. I actually had a little energy - despite my lack of good sleep - and I got laundry FINISHED (can you believe it?), all the dishes are done, office is cleaned and straightened, room is neat and all is left is the kids' bathroom and bedrooms.

I love that picture. Just perfect and it made me yawn! LOL

Okay, I am so sure I just left a comment on this post. WTH? An-t-way, I was saying how it sounds like a perfect weekend. And, guess what, I had all kinds of energy. Got all the laundry done, the kitchen and dishes, did the floors... all that's left is the kids' bathroom and their bedrooms.

One thing about "normal" work is that the weekend feels different and sometimes good!
