Life is Good
The warm weather enticed Grace outside to help me wash the winter grime off the windows and to clip back the butterfly bush yesterday. She doesn't go outside alone much anymore--she is getting older and she's feeling vulnerable outside these days. With a bit of coaxing, I can convince my girlie that it's safe with me out in the yard, so out she came to keep me company.
As I lifted the old Christmas tree branches off the perennial garden, I noticed the catnip plant was making a comeback. Grace loves nothing better than to eat a few leaves of catnip, so I called her over. To heck with nibbling one or two leaves, girlfriend stuck her whole face into the new shoots sprouting up. My little friend was in hog heaven.
I'm taking a clue from Grace and gonna just enjoy life for the next couple of days. I suggest you join us--not actually with us because that would just be mayhem. I mean, just go find your own personal stash of catnip and jump right in. Stick your face smack-dab into happy. Roll in the good of your life. Take some time to just enjoy. Close your eyes and wallow in what is your personal heaven.
And then we'll all meet back on Monday with smiley faces and good stories to tell.

I am looking forward to enjoying the sunshine this weekend as well. I may exchange the cat nip for a 'refreshing beverage' of choice. ;)
Enjoy your sunshine and nip sweet Grace ~ you are adorable!
xo Catherine
I love that picture of Grace in the catnip! Have a great weekend!
Wonderful, contented Cat. Enjoy your "catnip" this weekend!
That's just the sweetest picture. Grace doesn't get enough "play" on the blog IMHO...Enjoy your weekend...
Good idea!
This weekend Dori & I will be rubbing ourselves in some St. Louis catnip! Just a girls weekend with some girl friends of ours! Then next week...Spring Break and my hubby & younger teen will be on a school trip! w00t!
Grace looks so content
I grow catnip here in the Summer for my kitty, and he just loves rolling around in it, and just lying there in bliss! Well I am going to take your suggestion and find a giant pile of catnip and roll around in it this weekend...what a great idea. Kinda like stopping to smell the roses but instead... stopping to roll around in catnip! Happy weekend my friend!
Awh, what a sweet shot! Glad Grace got a moment to be so happy! I hope I will too- off to visit an old college friend for the weekend:)
Love that picture of Grace, so sweet. I like your advice for the weekend.
She looks so content--gotta love cats!
Grace is enjoying pure bliss! We can certainly learn a lot from our kitties! Enjoy your weekend!
Catherine--Amen, sistah. You gotta pick your own catnip. :) I think Grace is smiling, don't you?
Melodie--Pure happiness. I love that photo too.
Vanilla--Can you see her smile?
Grace--She doesn't need it. She's very private, that Grace. She is silly and cuddly--but ONLY if no one is around to witness it. I think she is smiling in this photo.
Rebecca--Join me!
Diana--Oh, that sounds GLORIOUS! Have fun with the "Girls weekend"! That is what makes having a daughter fun. :)
Pricilla--Can you see her smile?? I know my days are numbered with Grace and so, every chance I get, I try to make her enjoy life. I will miss her dearly when she is gone. She's 15 now. :(
Hot Rocks--Well, "catnip" is whatever makes YOU smile. Go find and roll in it, baby!
Nancy--Ooooh, sounds like FUN! Have a good time, pally!
Ann--She's smiling--can you see it? Go. Have fun. :)
Karen--My Grace is getting older and I know my time with her is limited. I take every chance I get to make her happy and enjoy things that she used to. It's a happy/sad kinda thing.
Beaded Tail--Can you see her smile?? That's as close to Sadie's smile as she gets. I'm taking her lead--I'm turning off the computer and just enjoying my family.
I'm definitely due for a little wild fun. Overdue in fact.
enjoy. We are expecting snow :-( Hugs and happy weekend wishes. P.S>Happy St. Pattys Day
Grace has the right idea! Life is short... go for all the gusto (or catnip) you can get!! My old cat won't go outside at all any more. She hasn't been out since early December. She and Grace would be great sleeping buddies. Heh heh! Happy St. Patty's Day!
Oh goodness gracious...I think there is nothing better if I were a cat then to stick my face in a giant clump of catnip; wouldn't life be wonderful?
spring is on its way...believe!
What a great picture! And a lesson I think I need this week.
Oh Grace, you are so lucky!!!
