Weekend highlights include:
Joe making pancakes for Dance Team Breakfast....
8:00 a.m.
17 hungry Dance Team gals eating pancakes and Monkey Bread
(The cats were in the living room sniffin' all their stuff)
The pancake-powered dance team shakin' it
The "Big Score" from the Band Dinner Dance the night before:
A huge mirror for the surprise (to Joe) remodel of the bathroom.
It's 36" x 47" and lovely...
And again, G'ma Phyl scores at the Dinner Dance with prizes of her own,
and she wasn't even there!
Everybody, over to G'ma Phyl's house for pedicures!
See what I mean? It was a crazy weekend. Of course I didn't have photos of John and Betty making me laugh, me dancing like a mouse on the dance floor, or how bad I looked with a hangover on Saturday, but I think we can all live without those, right?
I hope you had an exciting and fun weekend too.....well, minus the hangover--'cuz those are rarely good. But good friends, lots of laughs, monkey bread, and prizes certainly made up for it.
What did you do this weekend?

Sometimes I wish I had the napping space under my desk like George did on Seinfeld. You know that one? Just a cozy little space to have a snooze during the middle of the afternoon. It might not work for anyone that works in 'cubeville'. Under my desk is open. That might not work too good either. Guess I will just close my office door, put my head set on and pretend I am on the phone. ;)
xo Catherine
Happy snoozing. You need a quick nap or two after that excitement. Hope your week is fantastic!
We hung with friends & stuff...
Kiddos off school today so I just woke up! Crafts & playdates today.
Sounds and looks like a great weekend- hangover notwithstanding. You don't have today off? It's a federal holiday - Happy President's Day! (I liked it better when the president's got their own days...)
Loved hearing all about your life-filled weekend!!!! Pass the monkey bread!
Oh, I did have a hangover on Saturday morning. It took me until about 4pm to feel ok again. It must depend on what I ate that day because I only had a glass and a half of wine!
I don't know how you do it...
My weekend was very boring in comparison to yours. However if you are even in need of a drug free sleep aide, give me a call and I'll tell you all about it :)
Um, what is Monkey Bread? I think Harley wants some.
Wow! You were busy. We painted a bathroom and went to the car show. Fun? Not really. I think I'd like your weekend better! ;)
thatsa lotta dancin gurls. I'm sure I wouldn't survive, with or without pancakes.
Your weekend was way more eventful than mine. Looks like you had lots of fun! At first I thought Joe was making pancakes in the pot. I figured that'd make them perfectly round but how would he turn that sucker over! LOL
gramma scored again , man you need to get that lady to start buying some lottery tickets Lin
Catherine--Fortunately, there were a lot of people out of the office sick today and it was very nice and quiet. I could sort of work/sleep my way through my stack of work. :) I'm jealous that you actually have a door.
Vanilla--I needed the routine back! Whew! That was one crazy weekend!
Diana--LUCKY! I had to work and Em had school. Only Joe was off. :(
Grace--Nope. I had to work. But that's okay, it was quiet because the rest of the world was off apparently.
Betty--I think it was exciting because it's not normally so action-packed. :) I gotta lay off the wine and dancing part though.
Liz--Oh, thank god it wasn't just me!! I think I had a wee bit more wine than you did though. Hee! Hee!
Rebecca--And I don't know WHY I did it either! ;)
Ann--Hahaha!
Daisy--Ooooh, it's YUMMY! You might want some too. It is Rhoades rolls rolled in butter mixed with sugar and cinnamon tossed into a bundt pan. Then you pour a package of butterscotch pudding over the top, toss in some nuts and let it rise overnight. In the morning, you toss it in the oven and WAHLAH! Sticky buns!! I don't know why it is called Monkey Bread, but I know a lot of "monkeys" (aka: kids) like it. :)
Leanne--I have a lot of weekends like those too. Sounds like a good mix of fun and work.
Sharkey--It was a lot of girls, but they were very, very nice and polite! I couldn't believe how quiet they all were--I think they were all still asleep.
Beaded Tail--LOL! Nah, the pot was for the bacon, he used the griddle for the pancakes. And we made TWO batches of monkey bread! YUM!
Paul--Dang! I know! G'ma Phyl kills at that dinner dance each year! Table 12 ROCKED--Scott and Laura won a bunch at our table too. You and Mary should have came!
Nothing eventful - I live a very boring life! Glad you had fun though.
It sure sounds like you had enough fun for all of us.We didn't have nearly as much fun as you did. And by the way, the pictures of the morning after are the ones we want to see. Oh well. Have a great week.
Wow great weekend! I want to win a pedicure basket ;-)
Oooh, that foot bath thing looks luvly! I think I would enjoy that after a hard day in the barn! Oh heck, I'd enjoy it after a hard day of sitting down reading. Ha!
