Find the Kitty

One by one, I called each family member into the living room and asked them the same question:  Where's the Kitty?

Some took longer than others, but everyone needed the same coaching--look up.  Somehow nobody expected to find the 18 pound cat on top of the cabinet. Hobbes thought he was hilarious up there--I did not.

Apparently de-Christmassing the abode gets the kitties a little wound up--and one kitty in particular was finding every possible obnoxious place to be.  He was having one heck of a good time.  I was gonna kill him.

And while I offered to help him down, Hobbes insisted on a Superman flight to the floor--he's lucky he didn't end up with four very uncool casts on his legs.

Now do you see why the Lladro nativity is inside the cabinet?

Whoa, that's amazing! I don't think my cat wouldn't do that.

Sherpa has been flying up to the top of the walls lately and then jumping down. We hear these loud thumps in the night. They will do what they will do.....

ps: I looked up immediately

Matching furniture to go with your cat? I ask you, "How neat is that?"

We're very impressed with his athletic ability to get up there! It's probably fun watching all of you from way up there!

If you hadn't announced we were looking for a cat I would have thought he was a knick-knack.

there must some piece of furniture that is out of the frame? Or did he jump from the chair/couch I can see on the right?

I didn't see him at first either. He looked like a statue. LOL... He's always into something, huh? I like the way he's sitting there as if he's supposed to be there. :-)

Catherine--I walked into the room just as he was jumping from the back of the chair up there. It is really too high to be doing that. Sigh.

Veronica Lee--You can't miss an orange stripey! It was funny because Joe couldn't find him for the longest time--even with the "look up" hint!

Diane--Well, most people don't have 18 lb orange stripey figurines up that high. Well....maybe they do, but I don't! Goofy cat.

Melodie--Yep, that's him. I couldn't believe he got up there!

Rebecca--I think he got the idea from the goose.

Grace--I was going to KILL him!! I had images of the Emergency vet clinic. Ugh.

silverthoughts--He jumped from the back of the chair up there. It is really too far to be doing that--I am moving the chair pronto.

Becky--Don't underestimate a bored cat.

Pricilla--I think he is really bored, poor kitty. He has never gone up that high. I don't think he'll do that again--it looked like a painful landing.

Chuck--Don't encourage him, Chuck.

Beaded Tail--I'm sure it was a hoot for HIM! Not for me, though. I was really hoping he didn't break something on the way down--both my decorations or his legs!

Winnie--He's a knick-knack all right! ;) He jumped from the back of the chair to the right--it was really too high for him to be doing that. Ugh.

Ann--He is soooo darn bored with not wanting to go outside in the cold. I think he would jump anywhere for fun. Ugh.

Petula--Yeah, and that's how he stood while everyone looked for him. He thought he was hilarious.

OK. I give up. I found him, but how did he get there? Apparently Hobbes has powers you have been keeping secret.

Sharkey--He suddenly found that if he really, really tries, he can stand on the back of the chair and jump....like a fool. He's bored. Can you tell?

Jodi--Do I have to buy him a knit hat?

Bree--Yeah, it took me awhile to find him too.

Wondering how he even got up there in the first place!?! Our Lucy insists on visiting the top of the refrigerator once in a while. Too funny!
