While I'm all pumped up on pain meds and chillin' on the couch, I thought I'd post another classic from my youth. This is part deux of the here-comes-Christmas cartoons that we waited for each year as kids--Suzy Snowflake was number one. Most people remember Hardrock, Coco, and Joe more than Suzy for some reason.
This one is for you, Paul:
Hey, you know, this having all your Christmas stuff done and laying on the couch stuff isn't too bad. It's actually kinda nice to just relax during a time of year that I'm usually running around like a nut. And the toe.....doesn't hurt all that bad.
Happy Weekend, pallies. May you have a few minutes to just relax and enjoy it a bit.

Sorry, no - Don't remember them, never heard of them. Glad you're feeling not all that bad and enjoying your recuperation...sometimes chores and such expand to fill the time - since you can't do them, they aren't there...
mmnyah. The song, not so much. But Santa's "beaver teeth" cracked me up.

We never got this cartoon either in Detroit. I think Detroit was holding out on all of us kids back then.
Grace--It's hard to just shut down and relax, Grace! I'm finding little stuff to do...but those projects are adding up as well. I might have to be sick for a few weeks to catch up!
Vanilla--It's a "Chicago" thing to like these guys. I'm feeling good, but I have to remember to take it easy.

Pricilla--You know, it is better! I went off my iron and vitamins and I'm wondering if that was it too. Either way, I'm feeling good--GERD and foot-wise!
Lola--Nope, not too bad. I think the broken foot this summer was about as bad, so I can survive. I have to remember to take it easy though. Hard to do this time of year.
Marilynne--It's not a big deal--just got the toe straightened. I'm feeling good, but I have to relax this week and stay off of it. Yeah, good luck! :)
Beaded Tail--The reflux is better! I went off my vitamins and iron and I wonder if that was the problem too. Either way, my stomach is much better and the foot is not too bad. It will be nice to chill this week!
Ann--This cartoon is a "Chicago" thing like Suzy Snowflake. Yeah, I'm gonna take it easy this week. I feel good, but I have to be really careful with that pin in my toe.
