You just had to leave a PAIR of frogs here, didn't you? (Really, anything sets me off these days.) Thanks for your comments on my blog, you sweetie pie. I appreciate them very much. Sorry I have not been around to visit you. Hope you understand.
silverthoughts--I buy tadpoles every year, but somehow a few random frogs pop up in my pond each year as well--and we are in the suburbs of Chicago! If you build it (pond), they will come....
Vanilla--Yep! Isn't the weather GREAT?!
Betty--These are actually two females, Betty. You know, gals who stick together through thick and thin. :) (And I'm not even making it up--they really were the best of friends these two frogs)
Chuck--Oh, the sun is soooo warm. It's nice, isn't it?
Veronica Lee--Oh, the cold days are gonna return, but for now, summer is making one last stand.
Grace--Me too. They are always making me laugh.
Nezzy--Hi, new pally! These are actually two gals that hung out together all the time. They even hopped away together to go find the boy frog of their dreams.
Daisy--Aren't they?! I like their spotty necks and smiling faces best.
You have the prettiest frogs! Do you get a catalog or something so you can pick the tadpoles that become pretty frogs? I'd get the tadpoles that turn into the ugly, grey, warty toads.
Beaded Tail--Nope, no catalog. I always got them out of a tub at the garden center--which has now closed. I will have to mail order next year, so that ought to be interesting. I get bullfrog tadpoles, but I any animal or insect is beautiful if you just take a minute to look closely at them. Well, except for spiders. I don't like spiders. :)
I just think life is more fun if we notice the little stuff and laugh...a LOT. I'm lucky to live with a family who humors me, joins in the fun and tolerates me most days.
I have a wee house and yard, but it is loaded with adventures. There isn't a backyard pond owner out there who has more stories about her frogs, snails, fish than me. And I don't even make this stuff up!
I'm glad you are here to laugh with me. Welcome, pallies!

Sadly, I don't see those kind of creatures anymore. I used to, but I guess they've all cleared out as the suburbs become more city like every year.
Aren't we all!
