Yep. One of the seniors had her gymmies on in the pool yesterday. No, they weren't pool shoes--they were honest-to-goodness gym shoes, all laced up and tied in 2 neat little bows.
NOT kidding.
I wish I was.
And after she was done water-walkin', I watched her water-step on the stairs for 15 minutes. With her shoes on. IN the pool.
And no, they didn't match her suit.
Because THAT would be weird.

If I had shoes that were as pretty as those, I would not want to be parted with them. Even for swim time.
I can't wait to get old and do what ever the heck I want! I may just wear shoes in the pool too,lol!
Is that anything like gardening in your bedroom slippers? Cause I already do that. Needless to say, I go through many pairs of slippers a year and I'm not even a granny yet. Maybe I'm just off my rocker in general, lol.
Lin, I don't know how you keep it together at that pool. I would be cracking up! OMG....the things that go on there. It would make a great reality TV show!

OK, just watch the way you talk about seniors. Those shoes are terrific and but we are glad they don't match the bathing suit. I think we seniors are very interesting. Just look at the fun you had. LOL

I have no problem with cutesie shoes but dirty shoes in the pool? I've got a problem with that and so should everyone else. (I'm a tad grumpy this morning - FB is totally pissing me off)
Maybe she thought they were water shoes? Although if they looked like those shoes in the photo, I can understand not taking them off.

DJ--I'm all about whatever as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else. My first reaction to the shoes in the pool was "I hope she doesn't wear those in the changing room and on the street". Ick.
Hot Rocks--Every day I think I have seen it all and it just keeps getting better. I swear Candid Camera is gonna pop out one day.
A.Marie--Oh yeah. Especially when it comes to footwear in the pool! Hahaha!
Marg--Yeah, I'm not ripping on the seniors. I love nuthin' better than old guys--I always get along with them the best. But I have fun giggling at the silly stuff they do. No harm, Marg. Just fun.

Grace--That's exactly what I thought! It grossed me out. I was actually watching her to see if she walks in the changing room with them on too. BLECH. All that hair and stuff on the floor. EWWWWWWW.

Daisy--Those are Emma's shoes, Daisy. She has lots of cute shoes. Mommeh will have to go shopping with Emma.

Nancy--It's funny to a point and then it just gets annoying. Like when they snag a lane to just float. ugh. Then I'm sharing with some guy and trying to swim around each other. I wonder if dunking is allowed???
Sharkey--Yeah, but shoes???! IN THE POOL??! Don't they sell pool shoes for that? And why do you need them IN the pool? I mean, I get a rocky beach, but a POOL????!
Hm, I don't think I've ever seen anyone go swimming, in a swimming pool, with their shoes on.
