Poor Hobbes. I think the neighbors behind us got a dog and Hobbes isn't too keen on that. He loves hopping over the fence and hanging out in their yard, so this is putting a huge damper on that fun. Sheesh, the nerve of some folks.
He's not going too far lately, but enjoying the last days of warm sunshine and fresh air before it turns cold again. Funny how he wants to come in each evening now, I think his warm bed is beckoning him. Nothing like a cozy basket at the end of a long day. Ahhhhhh.....

Hobbes always looks so perfect against the green
Poor sweet Hobbes - now why did the neighbors have to go and spoil his fun by getting a dog? Harumpf!
xo Catherine
My buddy Hobbes is one smart kitty. The neighbors? Well, you know . . .
That is a fabulous photo - you should tell people to click to biggify it - just marvelous!
Someone is always spoiling the good times. Just ask Daisy
Camoflage! Great interplay of shadows and stipes.
I'm sure that if he really wants to go "over there" he can terrorize the new beastie.
That's a gorgeous photo of Hobbes! It's too bad the neighbors got a dog to spoil his fun but maybe they can become furiends. We know that cats can love dogs especially our sisfur Sadie!

Hobbes, we agree with you. Now that it is getting a little cooler at night, it is nice to snuggle with Mom in the bed. We are sad that there is a dog next door now and you can't have the fun of going over there any more. That is pretty nervy of those people. Take care.
Hobbes colour always reminded me of Summer. Talking about Hobbes, would you like to visit a wedding on my page tomorrow? :P
great shot of Hobbs.xo Katherine
P.S. new giveaway started today
Oh Hobbes, sorry that dog ruined your Good Times.
My cats, as they contemplate and warm their fat bellies on the last warm rays of summer sunshine, are thinking about how to get the birds at the feeder. They AREN`T thinking about the three squirrels frolicking at a much closer distance and that leave message nut shells over the place. NOOOO .... they (my cats) have to contemplate the poor innocent birds, who merely come to my feeder for sunflower seeds. Stupid cats. Smart squirrels. Naive birds.
that`s messy not message.
Helene--Yeah. Orange sort of goes with everything doesn't it? :)
Catherine--I think Hobbes is planning ways to intimidate that poor dog. Stay tuned....
Chuck--He's going over anyway, Chuck. You just know it. Dogs are scared of that orange ottoman.
Grace--Isn't he pretty? He hates when I take his photo.
Pricilla--Yeah. Good time ruint. :( Give him time, Hobbes will go over anyway and show that dog who is boss.
Vanilla--That is exactly what he is going to do, I'm afraid. So much for having a "relationship" with those neighbors. Sigh.
Beaded Tail--Hobbes likes to intimidate the dogs, so I'm sure he is going over there either way. I just hope they have a sense of humor about it.
Marg--We do not like neighbors. :( Especially dog neighbors. And this guy must be a hound of some sort--he howls all the time. That REALLY annoys Hobbes.
VanillaSeven--Hi Pally! I will come to the wedding! ARe you getting married???
Katherine--Ooooh, I will go check it out--even if I don't win.
Daisy--Oh, that is short-lived. He will go over there and lay on their driveway and scare that poor doggie to death. It's his cat fun.
LJ--HI LJ!! I have missed you!!! I think birds are easier to catch. Those squirrel, although fun to watch, are not as good to catch--they bite back. EEK!
Surely Hobbes is at least as big as a medium-sized dog. Don't be skerred, Hobbes!
Oh those dumb neighbors, getting a dog. Why are people so senseless?! lol
Hobbes has a very nice profile.
That is a great shot... Love his sun dappled nose :)
