- most beautiful post
- most popular post
- most controversial post
- most helpful post
- a post who's success surprised me
- the post that I felt lacked the attention it deserved
- the post I am most proud of
(Isn't that nice? Vacation photos again. Ahhhhhhh.)
Okay, so I did it and here are the links. See if you agree with my choices.
- The most beautiful post is tough for me. I mean, is this supposed to be beautiful as in "lovely" or beautiful as in "touching"? I dunno. I'm not sure I've got either, so I'm just going with one of my favorite photos ever on the blog. This one is just me in a nutshell. I think you will agree. Is it beautiful? Nah--but it's funny.
- The most popular post was The First Official Dork-Off, by far. What started off as a wacky idea, grew to be really hilarious. I can't believe that I got other bloggers to send in wacky photos of themselves. In fact, I'm thinking we need another one of these soon. I cracked myself up with this post.
- The most controversial post? I think it was this about Obama being elected, but I can't find it in my post history. I wrote my thoughts on his election and the glorification of the man and sheesh, did I get it. Whoo! Won't do that again. I stay clear of politics now, but I still trash Oprah every now and then.
- Most of the questions I get from posts are about the pond or the frogs. So the most helpful post has got to be something about either of those two subjects. I'm forever writing about that darn pond, but I think most people like the tales that begin there. And heck, who doesn't love frogs stories?? I've also found most people don't know a darn thing about tadpoles. Sheesh.
- The post who's success surprised me was the series of posts about the raccoon problem we had in the yard. While I struggled with the removal of these guys, I had to prevent serious damage to my property--not to mention my pond inhabitants, cats, family members, and helpless rabbits who wandered into the yard. Happy Raccoon Village was a hit for some reason--maybe folks secretly hate raccoons.
- The post that lacked attention was probably one of my older ones--you know, when it was only one or two people who knew you were out there as a blogger. This post is still one of my favorites from way back then.
- And finally, the post that I am most proud of is the one in which I introduced you to my blog's theme song. You know there are millions of blogs out there, but who's got a theme song? Yep, me. I know you are still thanking me for this classic.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
It's HIM! IT!
You snuck that one in one me.
May be time for another political trashing post. Just sayin.
Hi Lin,
thank goodness you didn't tag anyone (or me). haha.
I would've thought Hobbes posts are most popular?!
You have more than double my number of posts and we started blogging in the same year...
Oh, and very nice photo ;-)
I got to read some post from before I was a follower! That last one is a dirty trick, lol!
I'm with Helene and Melodie on this one. I don't think that fellow and his lip-sync skills are any indication of the quality here on the Ducken Wheel. You set a high standard, and I thank you for taking time to go through all that just for us, your faithful followers.
The raccoons are more popular than Hobbes? I would never have guessed that! I remember the Sting post but not from 2008 so maybe you posted it again later?
I guess I liked the one about your 20th anniversary best. And that weird Russian guy - it actually amuses the heck out of me.
Awwww come on - tell me it wasn't fun to go back through and look at them. I groaned at first but then I was smiling as I remembered some of the old posts.
Thank you. I hadn't seen some of these.
Darn but I can't think of a word to say other than I'm glad you didn't tag anyone :)
I read a couple of those that I hadn't seen from way back when. You are a funny girl. I thought the beautiful picture of you would be the one with the rubber gloves, but there you are dead in the snow!
Ha- my word is "dista" is that like a sista that never has anything good to say?
You are my favorite person today for not tagging anyone. We did enjoy seeing the posts that you picked. I do like the trashing Oprah deal. This is a great post. Take care.
Well you know I will always have your blog's theme song running round my brain for many years to come. Sometimes I catch myself humming it! LOL!
xo Catherine
There is no way I could do this, but I thank you for doing it!
Your blogposts are always worth the click, and then some. Not to be missed (though I was a day late on this one.)
Helene - *giggle*
Duni--The Hobbes post are probably more popular than the raccoons, but I figured we all knew that. I was trying to find what else people liked. This was a bugger to do!! Ugh.
Melodie--Hee! Hee! I think we need to hear that song more often. :)
Chuck--Don't do this, Chuck--it's crazy. Just scrolling through and clicking on all of those posts was a PAIN! Ugh. I am really sad that none of you appreciate that dude singing like I do. Tough crowd.
Beaded Tail--Hobbes posts were a given, so I went with the next big one. I was really surprised at the amount of comments with the raccoon posts. And yes, I did re-post the Sting one. Good remembering!
Grace--Thank you, Grace. I find him hilarious too.
Pricilla--Oh, if there weren't so darn many!! Yikes. It took me forever because I got caught up in reading all of them and remembering what was going on in my life back then.....I guess I did have fun after all. Thank you for picking me, Pricilla. :)
Ann--Oh, and you know YOU would have been in that list!! hahaha!
Sharkey--I thought of that photo of me in the waders, but it's been around too much. I'd don't do "beauty" all that well--it's too serious.
Marg--Yeah, this is brutal to put on someone else. I think Pricilla did it to me and then laughed an evil laugh. I'm gonna get her!
Catherine--Well, the good thing about that song is that you know all the words!! ;)
Vanilla--It was BRUTAL, Vanilla. Try going through nearly 4 years and 1100 posts!! ugh.
