So, yeah, when I saw the frog eyeing the hummingbird the other day, I had to intervene. That wacky hummingbird is so curious, she was all but asking to be frog dinner, so I chased her off and then moved her feeder. At the size of her, she'd make a lovely appetizer.

Veronica Lee--I hear they eat each other too--because they can't differentiate between their prey. Blech! I would be mad if they ate that little hummingbird!
We had hummingbirds in NC but Ive not seen a one in NJ :( I loved those little guys....

Oh my gosh, I have never even imagined a frog would eat a bird...UGH!
EEEEEKKKKK!!!! With all my baby chicks here, that's about all I can say. I know when you're hungry, you have to eat and it's natural but Yikes!

Yeck...yeck...eeewww. We have toads and frogs at the bottom of the garden. I'm keeping my eye on them now:( I don't want my hummingbirds to be eaten. They are very nosey little birds always sticking their beaks in....one actually followed me right to the back door yesterday and I almost crushed it when I closed the screen door.
They are omnivores so if they can catch it, they'll eat it. Got to give them credit for the catch.

Bull Frogs will eat other Bull Frogs if they are smaller. That is an amazing shot!!!
