Bark Fest 2011

Guess who's coming at the end of the week?

Yep, Sammy the Weiner Dog.
Tormentor of cats, cat poop eater, he who insists on sleeping in my bed....
UNDER the covers, and go to get-even guy for Yip Yap the Non-Stop Barking Dog next door.

I can't wait.

There is something to part time dog ownership. It's kind of like being a grandparent, just when the kids are super revved up, you send them home.

Juast as DG says. Our weiner dog pal is visiting us in September. But in the meantime, we've apparently agreed to host a golden. How cool is that?

When I was a little kid I wanted a dachshund except I called it a "frankfurter dog". My father and I had this schtick -

"What kind of dog do you want?
A frankfurter dog!
And where will he sleep?
In a frankfurter roll !"

Hilarious when you are 3 years old!

Except for the poop eating it sounds like a good time... By the way, ginger sleeps under the covers too :) Sometimes under the bed you made her. I think thats part of why she loves it so, she can climb under it!

YUK!!! Poop-eating dogs who sleep in human beds. :-p Just another reason why I love cats...

what fun, Sammy coming for a visit. A word of advice, be careful about doggy kisses. :)

Hehe. Grace's comment is funny.

One day (I won't do it to Pimp), I am going to get a miniature dachshund and name him Frank. I decided this at least 10 years ago.

Ah yes cat poop, every dogs favorite snack. Which is why the litterboxes in my house are hidden behind cat doors only they can fit through. Even my small dog can only fit his head through the hole.
For Sammy though, I think the litterbox would have to be up high, so he couldn't reach it.
Hope he enjoys his visit!
