There are just certain things about summer.....
like drinking from the hose, sparklers, going out to play after dinner, and
catnip...........
that makes summer .......
so special.
And Grace isn't alone in her love for the stuff--Midnight has his own stash too.
So did Hobbes--that is until he squished it by rolling in the stuff until it died.

Grace is so pretty and so royal-looking
We tried to squish our catnip too by lying in it but Mom put sticks in the dirt so that we couldn't lie down in it. Grace we like your nice pick collar. Have yourselves a terrific day.
Grace is so sweet! The neighbourhood cats have all squished Banjo's cat mint too. How rude!! :(

Grace holds her catnip well. My 2 kitties get stoned and act goofy.

There is a kitty that looks like Grace's twin at Orphans of the Storm. In case anyone needs to add another kitty to their household.
I'm thinking that maybe someone should start a catnip anonymous group...lol

Helene--I did the same with Chuck! The cat posts are taking over!!
Marg--We had to use a tomato cage to protect our plant! Grace likes to eat it, but Hobbes has to smoosh his body in it. Both kitties have "Peace" collars--I was hoping that would keep peace.
Catherine--Oh, the nerve!!
Vanilla--She is a pretty kitty. I don't like to see her getting old. :(
Chuck--She does. She gets VERY excited about wet kitty food, catnip, sparkle balls, and her mom. She is actually a very silly kitty when she wants to be.
Jean--Grace just likes to eat it, but she doesn't get silly or anything. I think the dried stuff gets them wackier for some reason.
Betty--Oh, you should send me your address and I will send Mabel some fresh stuff. Although the feds will probably arrest me!!
Daisy--Grace will roll in the dry stuff, but she likes to eat the leaves of the fresh catnip. Hobbes just smooshes it. He's weird.
Veronica--Isn't she pretty? She's getting old though, Veronica. And that makes me sad. :(
Mary Ann--I love a gray kitty. And black ones. Oh, and orange stripeys and calicos.....and.......
Merry--I don't usually tell Grace stories--maybe I should. She is very silly. And attached to me--hates everybody else in the family for some reason.
Anita's Mom--We have to plan a night when you and G'ma Phyl can come over so you can meet the kitties. Wouldn't that be fun? Sorry I missed you last time. Grace looks good with pink I think.
Mee2--Aw, pally. You've got some stuff going on. I hope things get better.
Beaded Tail--Oh, I think you can go to any garden store and buy a plant or two. It is an perennial too--so you can just stick it in your garden to come up every year. Well, unless somebody goes outside to smoosh it like Hobbes does.
Mee2--Oh wow!! I may have to look into that!! Cool! Thanks for 'splaining. I'm kinda slow on things.
Sharkey--She just likes to eat it, but she gets more "stoned" on the dried stuff. She loves the stuff!

Helene--Yeah/no. Grace hates having another kitty in the house. She couldn't handle another kitty as Hobbes is more than annoying as it is now. Well, unless YOU were thinking of getting another kitty....
Ann--There are lots of catnip posts going around these days!! Grace loves to walk in the garden with me. I always pick her a catnip leaf at the end of our walk. She likes that. :)

OMG, you have live catnip!?! I have heard amazing things about it but have had trouble finding it around here.
