For some odd reason, we never get birds to nest in this birdhouse. Hmmmmm...... I wonder why?

Hobbes is just a bouncer in case those sweet little birdies run into trouble. He is just providing extra security. Get the word out.

When V-8 was a younger kitty we found her sitting on top of the bluebird box. I decided to take it down until she was too old to hunt... seemed like luring my little friends to their doom.

DG--They ARE haters! They spend their days buzzin' homeboy's head--to no avail. He don't even like chicken!
Helene--Or he's just snoopin' on the neighbors!

Pricilla--I'm surprised it doesn't fall from all the weight!
Chuck--He likes to sit there and watch the 3 yards. Not like there is really anything good going on. Silly cat. That's an easy WV!
Helene--Let's NOT encourage him, Helene!
Grace--He jumps the fence, believe it or not. He can scale that fence, then he walks over all the posts to get there. It's just silly to watch!
Anita's Mom--Right you are! He likes that he can see 3 yards from there!
Daisy--We had one bird build a nest in there, but I think it is not right for the birds we have here--so, no baby birds. Which is probably a good thing! Both my bird houses aren't really "bird friendly". They just look cute.
Sharkey--I think bluebird boxes are good for kitty sitting apparently. This is a bluebird box, but alas, no bluebirds. I'm with you--I don't want to lure birds to their death, hence the cute-but-not-functional birdhouses in my yard.
