Oh, you know I'm fried when my post doesn't go up until 9:00 a.m.- ugh.
There are some challenges are on the horizon as a co-worker leaves to have a baby next week. And while that is sweet and all, I've been put up to the challenge to help with her job duties while she is gone. Me--rusty 'ol me. Me, who was a mom for all those years. Me, who is lucky she knows how to run the fancy new copier-fax-scanner thingamajig in the corner of the office. Me, who is struggling with getting it all done at home and at work while I work just part-time.
Sheesh, I'm giving the 'ol brain a workout.
It's so weird how benefits and employment has changed in those 20 plus years that I stayed home. Who knew all of this stuff was going on? Not me--but I knew what time Little Bear and Kipper was on the tube. And I knew not to go to the pool on Wednesdays when the pre-school came with all of their kids. And I knew how to do some mean Barbie hair.
Sigh. Life is certainly very different.
So, while I'm doing big important things like 401(k) disbursements and rollovers, know that that burning smell that you've noticed is my wee brain.......struggling to keep up. And some days I may just be really slow in posting. Or I may just post about 401(k) disbursements to kill 2 birds with one stone. Wouldn't that be fun?

At least you posted before lunch. :)
Do us a favor no 401 (k) posts. Instead have another cup of coffee and show us more beautiful blossoms or your stripey pally Hobbes.
Makes me glad that I all I have to disperse is goat milk
As I prepare for the CPA exam I totally understand about the 401k brain burning deal.
Yeah 30 years ago if you left to have a baby you left your job behind too. Nice gig they got these days. Make sure they pay you her salary on top of yours :-)
Was wondering where you were.
I thought I smelled something burning, giggle...hang in there. Hoping your weekend is a sweet one. Thinking of you and sending ♥
I'd enjoy some 401(k) posts! Seriously. :)
Financial paperwork makes my brain burn too. It is too much for me :).
Oh, yes. Post that. 8-|
401.. 402... 403... k... l... m... what else is there to know?
hey the 401K thing could be helpful. I have one through work, don't know a thing about it other than it doesn't make any money. Could be because when I picked all the stuff for it I had no idea what I was doing.
Whatever you want to post about Lin, I'll be here to read it.
Oh, I've heard 401(k) disbursements are hilarious. But it's all in the delivery.
Chuck--Yeah, work stuff is B O R I N G. I promise none of that unless it is some wacky story of me and Irene's latest adventures. :)
Pricilla--Yeah, it's yummier too! All that paperwork is not very fun.
Grace--????
Helene--I've got a LOT to learn about a lot of things, Helene. While I won't be earning more money, I WILL be getting lots of valuable work experience. :)
Katherine's Corner--Hi, pally! Yeah, that's my wee brain frying! :)
Beaded Tail--It might put some people to sleep!
Anne--Any paperwork is like that!
Vanilla--Get ready for a good nap!
Sharkey--Well, I have to scan this and print that. Then I file these and fed-ex those.
Ann--Well, I can't help you with your investment options, but I do know how to process loans, disbursements and rollovers. I'm a paper-pushing queen!! ;)
Kathy--Oh, 401(k) stuff and accounting is a hoot--when you are with me and Irene at work. I mean, when you have a labelmaker song, anything can be fun. :)
Yeah, that was me - some things just aren't funny when you write them...I do love the flower tho
Well it would definitely be educational. I have no idea what a 401(k) disbursement even is. I'm guessing it has to do with money though, which I don't have much of...sigh...
Thats another way of saying you're going to be doing more than your share and not get paid for it.
LOL! That must be the smell I'm smelling around here: My brain sizzling with activity.
Reminds me of an episode in Sponge Bob when the office workers inside the little guy's head were frantically burning from all of the filing and paperwork in his brain!
