Neverending Prom Post

Em had prom last night, which meant that my camera is now loaded with about 3000 photos of Emma, Emma's hair, dress, date, friends, more dress, and some of our friends. Bear with me while I post just a wee bit of the pre-prom paparazzi results:

Snappy up-do

Prom Princess Barbie--according to our friend, Steve.
He said the only thing missing is the box.

Em and Linnea--two southern belles

Wen's dogs, Wrigley and Cole, were banned to the backyard.
They were not happy.

Paparazzi shot

Emma and Jose

Mary and Mark
Mary has been Mark's sign language interpreter since he was little. Not only is Mark graduating, but Mary is "graduating" as well. I get misty-eyed every time I look at this photo.

Five hot girls.

Morgan, Linnea, Zack, Emma, Jose, Meagan, Mark, Kaitlyn

Aren't they all lovely?  Oh, it was a beautiful night, full of excitement and fun, mixed in with a little melancholy.  Only Emma and Zack are sophomores and not graduating, so it is hard to see these great kids moving on.

Your friend Steve is certainly right about the Barbie; she is gorgeous! Just lovely and that dress suits her so well!
Wow, you better keep her close at ALL times :)

All the girls look beautiful! Em is so gorgeous! Love the paparazzi shot! Poor Wrigley and Cole having to watch everything from outside. :(

She looks absolutely beautiful. They all do. Such pretty dresses.

My Alee said the same thing about Em that your friend Steve said...she looked at the picture and said "she looks just like a Barbie doll". :-)

Glad they had a great time.

Terra--Thanks, pally. They had so much fun dressing up.

Vanilla--Thanks, pally. :) It sure was a fun evening for all of us!

Katnip lounge--I didn't cry because Em is still a sophomore, so we probably have another prom in us yet. And a few more years of high school.

Mary Ann--Really?? They didn't have proms?? Didn't they have a sister school to share it with?

Sherrie--They did have fun! And I think half of the fun is dressing up like princesses.

Helene--The dogs were hilarious! They were so sad that they weren't allowed in on the fun.

Tracy--I loved that dress the minute she put it on because I thought like you did--it just suited her. I'm glad we found a dress so easily.

Grace--Most of the girls that I saw wore ball gowns, which is a nice switch from the hootchie dresses.

Diana--Those dresses were not cheap, but they certainly made the girls feel like princesses! Tell Dori she can be a princess one day too!

Melodie--I would just like to wear a dress like that...just once! Oh, and look like that too! :)

Beaded Tail--Thanks, pally! Aren't the dogs funny?! They were so pathetic just watching us from outside.

Pricilla--I loved the colors too! They were like flowers. :)

Ann--Thanks, pally. Weren't they all lovely? It was really fun to see them off.

Jodi--Everyone was saying that about Em. She just looked like Barbie. I guess that is a good thing, right?

Veronica--Thanks, pally! It's amazing how old they look when you dress them up. Scary!

Zach--Awwwww, thanks, pally! That was sweet of you to say that. :)

DG--A lot of the girls went in ball gowns here. And while they cost a fortune, I sure do love them.

Anita's Mom--AND they are nice kids too. :)

Betty--:) We all had fun with prom.

Daisy--I thought of you that day, Daisy. Poor Hobbes was terrified of that dress because it was so poufy!! Isn't that silly?

Catherine--Aw, they were just happy kids. That's the best part.

Nancy--Ball gowns and up-dos are the thing here. And while it is not cheap, it sure was fun to dress them up like dolls. :)

We don't have such an event, neither in France nor in Germany ... they are so beautiful, like "gone with the wind". ((hugs))
