I-Love-Hobbes-Thursday - PSHobbes

Ann and Duke inspired me to play with PhotoShop Elements for a few minutes last night. And like our little pally, Duke--Hobbes is just one of those faces you can't go wrong with. It pays to have a good model.

It's been raining for a few days now and poor Hobbes is stuck in the house.  Sometimes he throws a fit and I let him out on the front porch just to be outside without getting too wet.   But like half of the country, we are under tornado threats lately, so no outside for kitties.  Until the threat of evil vortexes dissipates, I've got myself two major grumps staring out the window.  Ugh.

We're grumpy and staring out the window too. Whats with the 85 45 85 45 weather?

If they come your way, get thee to the storm cellar Dorothy and Toto and family(is there room for frogs down there?)! Do you have a storm cellar?

Nice work on that photo Lin. Just keeping with PSE and you'll have it mastered--eventually. :)

First of all I got Elements and have never used it because I am thoroughly confused by it, so hail to thee!

Second of all, get busy entertaining those cats, woman!! What do you think you are here for?

I have grumpy goats 'cause it's raining. No tornado threats but sadly, snow threats.

Don't orange cats looks great against new grown grass?

he is absolutely beautiful and you're right; you can't go wrong at all!
Rain, rain go away...my mom in Ohio said they've had rain everyday this month except two days! UGH! I will NOT complain about the 90 + degree temps here!

We got RAIN last night. OMG it was bucketing down so hard that it was bouncing up about four feet. The lightening was awesome:)

Portrait is outstanding!

We are all indoor-only kitties here. Maybe that's why SOME of us are grumpy so much!

I agree with Lauren about your foot problem being gout. Here's the non-doctor remedy for gout. Buy 10.00 worth of cherries or fresh black berries. Sit in family room with your foot on cushion and eat every single one in front of your family, telling them you're sorry but they are medicine and very expensive so they can't have any. Even if you don't have gout they'll tastle yummy and aggravating kids and spouse will be soo much fun. If it is gout the pain will go away over night. Truly amazing fruit. If the pain does vanish then you probably have gout and should stay away from pork, turkey, nuts and dry bean products .

Btw, Hobbes is gorgeous! There's a Hobbes cat on the way to my sewing teachers house. Every other week I see him stalking a tiny Yorkie. One of these days both owners are going to be surprised.

We love that photo of Hobbes! He's just so handsome! It's raining here too so we can't have whiffs of fresh air since the windows are all closed. Hope the tornadoes stay away from you!

The contrast of Hobbes' orange-y goodness next to the green grass is wonderful!

Hobbes always looks good ~ photoshopped or not! Inside is a very good place for kitties ~ for everyone ~ when the weather is not nice.

Stay safe!

Poor Hobbes. Surely he understands its in his best interest. You tell him he's not Dorothy and therefore has to stay with you outside.

Helene--I actually turned the heat back on today. :( I'm with the cats.

DJ--We don't even have a basement, DJ! EEEK! We all cram into our little powder room--which is really interesting with 2 cats that don't like each other.

Chuck--I just found a class nearby that I may take. I need someone to show me what it can do. And some time to play with it.

Betty--Thank you, Betty, I'm confused by it too. And that darn 3 inch manual in which to learn it. Ugh. Oh--I've nearly worn out the laser pointer playing with Hobbes to keep him happy.

Pricilla--Oh, I think more snow would just do me in. I like the orange on green in this photo, but I also really like the turquoise bell on his collar.

Tracy--We had an April like that. And while the rain hasn't been too bad, it is the fluctuating temps that is crazy. We take turns with the air and heat every day. Ugh.

Mary Ann--EEK! That sounds very scary, Mary Ann.

Vanilla--Well, it was a good first attempt. I think it helps to have a good photo to start with. Thanks for the encouragement.

Sparkle--Hi, Sparkle!! But you have all those sunny windows!! That helps, doesn't it? Does your mom open them for you so you can get fresh air??

Ozark Mtn Cats--I turned the foot. I found that out by doing it again last night in heels. Ugh. OWIE! But I'm still gonna go sit on that couch with my bag of cherries anyway. :) Thanks for the suggestion! I'll bet that Yorkie is terrified of that orange stripey!

Beaded Tail--We get a lot of warnings, but we don't typically get many touchdowns here--thank goodness. Tornadoes scare me! I sure hope you can open your windows again soon. :)

Tracy--The turquoise bell got me. I wish he didn't lose that collar. :( Thanks for the encouragement!

Daisy-- I've been finding that orange stripey goes well with lots of things--including my black dress slacks for work, my blue sweater.....

Catherine--Oh, it's so darn cold and rainy. :( Spring is that time of year when we get lots of tornado warnings, but thankfully, no tornadoes. Whew!

Marilynne--Yeah, I'm gonna have to tie a string around his neck so he doesn't blow away! :) He runs to the door and meows. Then, when I open the door, he looks out and walks away. We repeat this process about every 10 minutes--it's great.

Eek, tornado warnings in your area? That is scary. We've had then here and there but have never had anything too serious, unless you count the hurricanes.

Ann said...

oh big round of applause for you. It looks fabulous. Thanks for the mention too.
We had tornado warnings and watches here the last couple days. Yesterday there was one that touched down about 10 miles from us. We drove by today and I could tell exactly where it had hit, the trees were all snapped in half and one huge one was just tipped right over roots and all.

Lin said...

Casey--Ours wasn't too serious, thank goodness. Being that we don't have a basement, tornado sirens mean the four of cramming into the powder room with 2 cats who hate each other. Yeah/no. I'm thinking it would be heaven to be sucked out by an evil vortex at that point.

Ann--Oh, good, you saw it! I found a class nearby and I'm thinking of taking it so I can actually make time for learning PSE. Hooray!

Lin said...

Ann--Oh, I forgot about your tornado scare---EEEEEK!
