I Love Hobbes Thursday - Laundry Help

What is it about freshly laundered clothes that whispers to the kitties "Come, sit on me"?  Ugh. Nothing like black slacks, fresh from the washer and dryer, with a splash 'o orange stripey on them.

This is the kind of help I get around here.  I'm a lucky gal, eh?

Indeed, you are lucky. We get the same "help" from Cookie, only the hairs a white. Ugh.

I am guessing you have several lint brushes!

It's the warmth of course. And have you ever noticed how cats will get up and relocate as soon as you put an article of clothing down - even if they are already lying on something soft and cushy the humans clothes are always better - they love us and can't bear the thought that we might go out and not have a reminder of them.

Gus and Pru actually prefer being under fresh laundry clothes. I dump the laundry basket on top of them, and they are content to lie there for hours, covered by soon-to-be wrinkled towels.

Awwww--He is pressing them for you! Good kitty.

Ha ha...hilarious! I have learned not to keep a laundry basket of freshly laundered and clean clothes or towels out for very long, as it doesn't take long for my cat to settle in and get comfortable!

Eep! Why is it always the fattest ones with the most furry surface area that pick the darkest clothes to sit on???? It's ridiculous!

What? He's ironing them for you....

Well, Lin...you DID ask for help from Hurricane so your kitty thought she'd fill in for you...great help I say!
I'd like to be IN the dryer right now. I am sitting in my classroom eating soup for lunch and am freezing! I have a sweter AND a sweatshirt jacket and am still cold...I think I have a fever; guh!

You are very lucky indeed! Lots of people would love to be blessed with a splash 'o orange stripey on them! And I must say, he is just absolutely adorable!

They don't just leave one or two either. They leave dozens!

you know the funny thing about having a little dog is that they seem to do a lot of things that cats do. Duke loves to jump in to a laundry basket full of clothes and take a little nap

Vanilla--Nothing worse than white fur. Ugh. Now gray fur from Grace actually blends pretty well. Isn't that sad that I know this?

Diana--Uh, YEAH! I find Hobbes fur at work--go figure!

Grace--YES! You are so right about that! No matter what I set down, my Grace HAS to go sit on it. I think it's supposed to be an honor or something.

JD--That is so funny! My kitties like the blankets on the floor when I wash the sheets. It's like a fort for them.

Betty--arrrrgggh!

Hot Rocks--That drives me NUTS! I hate laying sweaters out to dry flat--one of the two cats HAS to sit on them and take a bath. And they aren't even warm!

Nancy--It is!! Hobbes on my black slacks KILLS me.

Pricilla--Yeah/no. Don't cover for him, Pricilla!

Tracy--Oh no! I hope you feel better, Tracy!

Beaded Tail--Oh, he is shedding something crazy these days! I just look at him and giant poufs fall off him. Maybe I should sell clumps of his fur to his fans!

Violet--No kidding! Hobbes has these giant poufs that he leaves around. Ugh.

Ann--That is so funny! I love that Duke--he is such a hoot!

LOL! At least he's orange! Imagine a white kitty on your black slacks!

Have a nice day, pally!

Whenever I am putting laundry away, my cat comes and sits on it to get fabulous tufts of black fur all over everything. Apparently an outfit isn't complete without a little bit of fur.

That is too funny!! Our grey tabby will do the same:)

Ooooo - bad kitty. This is why our laundry room has a door. It is the only room the cat can't take over. But when I dump warm clean clothes on the bed to fold he will burrow his way right under them all or loll around on top when I turn away. It is hard to discipline when they look so cozy.

Well... you know what they say... "No outfit is complete without cat hair." ;)

P.S.
I really appreciate your comment in my latest post about my new blog! Thanks a lot for your support, Lin! :D

Jane loves the smell of Lenor "blue". The day I changed for "yellow" she looked that "look" at me ... I bought a bottle of the blue one the very next day ...sic!
