Where's the Kitty?

Nothing cures a sick kitty faster than home improvements that involve plastic-covered furniture.  You wouldn't even know that Grace has a bladder infection with all the fun she was having.

We spent the weekend painting Em's room and needless to say, we had lots of help from the cats.  What is it about upheaval that gets them so darn excited?  I swear they were happier than Em to get the room painted.

Oh, my word. Painting? Better you than me. But doesn't if feel great when it's done?

Kitties do seem to love to be in the thick on anything don't they? Hopefully no one got their tail tip painted! :)

Not my kitties - BB hides and doesn't come out till everyone is gone and everything is back in place and Frankie has a nervous breakdown if we merely rearrange the furniture. At one time we had two cats who had to snoopervise and "help" with everything, they were fearless!

(We are trying to figure out a way to have the house painted while we are still in it - you wouldn't want to come and help wold you?)

Yes there is something about cats with plastic that they just love...perhaps the sound? Glad to hear that Grace is feeling better. Hope Em enjoys her newly decorated room.

It's like kitty Disney Land!

I hope you painted the room puce. Not that I like the color. I don't. But you've got to love the name. Am I right?

Mine like to scope out where they can be most inconvenient in the process. Last time we painted, one of the cats actually sat on top of the paint can before we opened it.

(Thanks for your sweet note this morning!)

I have 2 dogs and a bunny that I could have sent your way to help out! LOL!

BTW, did you see snow this morning?

I found her I found her!!!! Oh, it is very nice to be on the looking end. :)

Livvy is so helpful like that, too! The laundry, the groceries, the cleaning, the renovating! Although, cooking she doesn't do. Smart girl.

I think cats just like a little change every now and then. Something new to smell and investigate. Silly cats. Hope you didn't come out of there a different color. Take care.

It's always fun to check out new things since it adds more excitement from what they see every day. If I move something from one side of the room to the other or even just put something on the counter that wasn't there before, Angel notices immediately and has to check it out. So glad to hear that Grace is feeling so good too!

I think it's part of the Cat genome to be nosey! Mine are always ready to "help".

Good for Grace that she feels well enough to play all day!

What a great project to do with her (and the kitties). We painted our basement last summer and one of ours stepped right in the paint tray and ran off, leaving painty paw prints across the carpet, couch, and hardwood. Thank GOODNESS everything came out!

Oh, I love the chandelier.

I would have sent you Harry. He's a whiz on ladders....

Who knew that all it took was some drop clothes and paint cans to get Grace feeling better. You should have done this job sooner and maybe you could have saved on the vet bill...lol
I still have several rooms in my house that need painted but I can't seem to find the time and ambition to get it done

Vanilla--I like to paint. I like how quickly a room can be transformed. But I don't like how my body feels afterward anymore.

Catherine--Nope! Nobody got paint on them--this time. :)

Grace--Really?! They get scared??? Hmmmm. I guess you would have to put them in a room when you have the painter/me come. I'm a good painter, Grace. I'll show you Em's room soon.

Hot Rocks--I know it is the sound. Grace LOVES that tippy-tappy sound. She seems to be doing okay, although she is tired of the medicine already. Me too.

Melodie--Oh, they LOVE the disarray! What is with that??!

A.Marie--Right you are. I keep a plastic bag in the kitchen for Grace because she LOVES that crinkly sound!

Chuck--You are the SOLE person who says that besides ME! I always refer to puce when we are talking color!!!! That is soooo funny! Not kidding.

Betty--Hahaha! They are such helpers, aren't they??!

Jo--We didn't have it accumulate here, but up north they did. It is very depressing.

Rebecca--I thought of you when I saw Grace doing this. :)

Marg--Nobody got painted, but they sure were asking for it!

Beaded Tail--They are so darn nosey, aren't they???! My two goofs could hardly rest all weekend for all the exploring they were doing.

Katnip Lounge--Well, if Grace wasn't feeling well, we sure didn't notice it! I think she forgot she was sick with all the mess all over. :)

Nancy--Oh no!! I've never had anyone do that, but we've had a few "racing stripes" down their sides before. Cats are so darn goofy!

Katherine--Oooh, I've got to go check that out! I like to paint because I like the results. :)

Pricilla--Isn't that cool???! Home Depot, believe it or not. We needed Harry this weekend!

Ann--It's such a huge project to do a room--all that disarray and mess. Ugh. But, then again, I like the results so I do it. A lot. :)

See now, she's smart. She's staying under cover so she doesn't get painted. I like Grace's "snoopervise" term - Tedy is definitely a snooperviser. It doesn't take much disruption to get him excited.

Molly--My kitty, Grace, just loves that crinkly sound of the plastic--that's all it takes to get her excited. And she's pretty good, she stays out while the actual painting is being done. Thank goodness.
