I think if this was socially acceptable, I'd be laying in the grass too. It's just so good to see some green again after a long winter of mud and snow. And nobody is enjoying it more than Hobbes.
It's good to be Hobbes, you know.

Glad to know that Hobbes is enjoying the green again after what seems like an eternity!!
Enjoy the warm days ahead, pally!
In your own yard, beside Hobbes. That would be fine.
I'm seriously jealous, man or cat, who can lay on grass that isn't soaked with rain water. Sigh.
Oh I would love to curl up on that pretty green grass beside that orange bit of stripy goodness as well! mmmm...... stretching and taking in the sun.... yup... Hobbes is going to have a good day! :)
xo Catherine
Hobbes is having a moment there in the sun! Yeah!
Socially acceptable? You have a fence! Just whom are you trying to impress;)
Lying in the grass is socially unacceptable? Is that Weirdville thing?
I wanna scratch that stripey belly!
What a wonderful picture and I'd like to be there too. I can't complain because we do have green around us now even though it has rained every day. Got more eggs all over so let me know if you need a turkey baby friend for Hobbes.
Tell your Mother thank you so very much for visiting my blog!!! She made my day and made me smile.
Hobbes is lovin' being all stretched out on that grass and I'm lovin' seeing all his stripey goodness! Thanks for the smile!
Who cares?!
Lie in the grass...enjoy life just like Hobbes!
I feel I must point out that if you are able to lay in the snow and make an angel you can certainly lay in the grass and enjoy the green with Hobbes. Go for it Lin, you know you want to :)
There is nothing better than the green, green grass of home. Hey, I should make a song about that...
Veronica--You are right about the eternity part! We sure have waited long enough to be warm again.
Vanilla--Shhhhh. I do that--in the backyard. And I even close my eyes. :) It's heaven.
Jodi--Oh, it's soggy here too, but not as bad as you. No running water or anything.
Catherine--He loves everything about outside--especially the warm sunshine on his belly. :)
Betty--He just loves outside! Add in the sun and he's in HEAVEN. :)
Nancy--shhhhhh. I DO go and lay with him sometimes! Ah heck, the neighbors already think I'm nuts--it can't get much worse.
Grace--I'm thinking someone will call the cops thinking I'm dead if I do it in the front yard, so I leave all that grass-laying for the back. And I close my eyes and hope all my neighbors go away.
DG--Hahaha! Oh, he'll bite ya!
Mtn Woman--My mom is hooked on you and Daisy! Those are her two favorite blogs now. :) I think Hobbes would be scared of the turkey--he saw a strange cat in our yard the other day and he nearly peed his pants!
Beaded Tail--He's toasting the orange stripes! Hobbes loves nothing better than just laying in the grass in the yard. :) And he doesn't really go anywhere--just outside is enough for him.
Pricilla--Oh, I do, believe me. But mostly in the back yard as I always feel like there are eyes upon me out in front--it's Weirdville, you know. :)
Ann--I do, Ann, I do! I just have to do it in the backyard so I don't see moving curtains in the windows around me. :) They all think I'm nuts anyway. Whatever.
Daisy--oh, I think I like that song already!! ;)
Go ahead. Lay on the grass. Wear a skort. Read comic books in public. Give them something to talk about.
Who says it's not acceptable to lay in the grass? I say do it (but you might get all itchy).
I would have lay with Hobbes on the green. Nobody knows me there! He's such a cuttie! You're right the red one are the best, ever!
