There are many blogs out there that have far better graphics, layouts, fancy tabs, and content, but I think the Duck and Wheel With String beats them all when it comes to theme songs. I think you will agree. I mean, who's got talent like this?
And while we've got fancy schmancy tunes here, we've got even better pallies. I mean, who else, at 1:00 a.m., when the world is gettin' you down and you can't sleep, is thinking of the Duck and Wheel?? The pallies, of course.
And if you think the first theme song was bad, please know that it gets worse. This time it includes a horrible pit band, some crappy kid singers, some VERY scary clown masks, and a pathetic audience who actually chimes in with the madness.
You all can thank Merry for that beauty. Don't be blaming me for that tune going through your head all day.

Oh no no noooooooooo. Not gonna even think of clicking on those. He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Yeesh.
Helene, You HAVE to see the second video. If you think the first scarred you for life....
Bawhahahahahahahaha...huuuu...hahahahahaaaa....
oh my stars ~ oh Lin...
oh there are just no words...
still a classic the 1st one is
2nd one...I just don't know what to say about all those masks....
clearly we need to know the history about this song...
yup... that song takes the kink out of the colon to be sure!
xo Catherine
Oh Lin NO don't make me pleeease!!! As soon as I saw that first one without even clicking on it I was wrecked. I don't even wanna think of what the second one will do to me.
Btw my friend is back in Texas after a flight from Japan to Korea where she went on with just her kids (hubby to his native France to try to salvage his job) and the dog to LA where they got bumped and had to spend the weekend to more delays trying to get to Texas yesterday. Her son is also autistic and she still managed to keep up with our classwork. Just for anyone who thought they had a really bad day lately :-)
Ok now you are in trouble! I clicked on the first one for about 5 seconds and had to stop when Alex here started smiling and singing OY YOY YOY YOYYYY
Ok last post-I clicked on the second-think I'm gonna be sick-Alex exclaimed "I LOVE those singers!"
ah ha ha ha ha... I had the pleasure of visiting the first theme song before but NOTHING, NOTHING beats a really crappy song worm like a group of kids singing it in masks...
ya ya ya yaa yaa yaa ya ya ya
Oh gosh, you would do this to your pallies.
Find me a theme song to go with a four hour prom dress shopping experience. UHG!
Geez Louise:(
Don't be blaming you? Of course not. You only put it front of me; I'm the one who opened it. Oh, yes, I know how to take responsibility.
My favorite part is when the audience is singing the song and doing the choreography with the kids. Just gets better and better. ;)
Now see, I think those are hysterically funny. You gotta wonder if the person who did the kid show was serious or seriously spoofing the original. I think a fun time was had by all.
I grant I did not listen/watch both of those videos all the way through - I kinda skipped around, having already seen the first one, but a few LoLoLo's never hurt anyone. And that guy - how can you take your eyes off of him? Weird hair, googly eyes - just gotta stare and wonder...ET phone home.
I don't even know what that was!!! What is wrong with those kids???? HAHHAHAHAH.
BAWHAHA Oh that cracked me up.. i needed it today
Play them both at the same time for a mind blowing experience
You're killing me, Lin. Do you think the guy in the first video makes that cheesy-assed face when he's gettin it on? And sings that song? He could charge admission for that shit.
OMG. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse. Good thing the children are wearing masks, maybe they won't be scarred for life.
Are the people in the audience "reading the lyrics" from notes? Would hate to sing a YO instead of a LA. Funny but scarry too.
Anita's Mom
That has to be the worst lip-sync job ever. It's may be mercy that dictated no words to that performance. What do you think?
:-) Well, I can get you turkey themed music if you'd like. Love your blog and your posts. Always make me smile.
I mentioned you in my blog today and it's cause of you I titled the post the way I did. You are a hoot and I'm so glad we met.
Can't believe some teacher put her class through that. Yep, the song will be with me all day. I really like the dad in the middle that was really into the action, along with the folks that looked at their notes so they didn't forget the words. Oh my!!!! Phyl
This is wrong on so many levels.
Wow...I'm sorry I just couldn't watch the last one...I'm deathly afriad of clowns. And you know what's the worst about it? They seem to have a second sense about who and where you, who is deathly afraid of them, are. Have you ever headed into a restaurant only to find a clown van parked outside? I have. Thrice. SO terrifying.
Damn, Sergei Fedorov can sing.... as well as play hockey! Fran's Dad
Oh my, I can't believe I watched that :)
Catherine--It's amazing that kids choirs are now covering that classic. But what is with the masks?? And Santa?? I don't get it.
Helene--I was going to ask you how they are doing. Gees, I feel for them. I'm sure they are in shock at this point. I hope they are all reunited soon. Oh--Alex has VERY good taste. :)
Highway--That second version is bizarre--I mean MORE bizarre than the first one. If that is possible. You can thank Merry for this treasure, she found it in the wee hours of the night for us.
Jodi--Oh, now THAT is hell. Ugh.
Mary Ann--I think my theme song for the blog was announced long before you came along, pally. I think you need to sing along with us..... :)
Vanilla--And aren't you glad you experienced that??? ;)
Merry--Yeah, what is with THAT???! I love how they need song sheets to know the words. Great find, Merry. Thank you. Everyone else is thanking you too--did you notice??
Grace--I love these too, Grace. They are so bad, they are GREAT! I love his plastic hair and face. Maybe that is what the wigs are portraying.
peewee--What is wrong with the choir director???! It's like doing the "Bed Intruder Song" for a kids concert. That's probably next.
natalee--I'm guessing you were singing it all day like I was too, right??! :P
Pricilla--I think my head would explode.
Casey--I LOVE that video, Casey. It's just so....so....BAD! And to think some kid choir covered it for their Christmas program???! Yikes.
Anita's Mom--What is with those folks READING the words???! And those masks are soooo SCARY! There is so much wrong here.
Chuck--I don't think he was lip syncing, Chuck. And it is so bad that it makes me laugh. There aren't many blogs around that have a theme song like mine. :)
Mtn. Woman--I was almost afraid to read the title today after yesterdays post!! Hahaha! I like that other girl's comment--now THAT was funny! I'm glad we met too--we crack each other up. :)
Phyl--Don't you love the crowd??! Seriously--you need song sheets??? I knew you'd like this one. :)
Betty--It's scary wrong, but I love it. I laugh every time I see it. Now the kids version---uh, it just scares me with those masks.
Nancy--I think there is only one scary clown, Nancy. The others are just creepy masks. I'm with you on clowns--they are CREEPY. Hate them. And no, hate is not too strong a word.
Fran's Dad--Who knew??! :)
Ann--Me neither. But aren't you glad you did??! :) Admit it, you're singing it now....
Well, the first guy has all the expression of Burger King. But the kids... well, this HAS to be something meaningful to someone. The text is Russian. You are SO bad. Now I have to go find out.
Yes, yes, yes... it is (WAS when it had words) a story about a cowboy riding his horse "I'm riding the prairie on my stallion, a mustang as such, and my sweetheart Mary now knits a stocking for me, a thousand miles away from here." But it degenerated to nonsense syllables. How funny. I wonder what the Russians think of "Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la" see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduard_Khil
Sharky--Good research! I had heard that it was a song about coming home. I guess that would match your research. He sure looks happy enough!
Hahaha! Linm you bet! LOL
June Zach--Well? Are you gonna record this song for me??? ;) I dare ya.
