These guys reported to work in Arizona.
Yep. So while we are all convinced that winter is gonna last forever and spring is never gonna come, the Boys of Summer are coaxing the nicer weather up north and sending us hope that warmer days are actually gonna be here.....someday.
They are actually going to start broadcasting games on the radio in a week or so. And while I can't be sitting in the warm stands watching the game, I can close my eyes and listen---and smell that popcorn in my mind.
It's coming, pallies. Spring is coming. The Boys told me so.

Ahhhhh....The Boys of Summer!!! I know that my own boys (ie hubs and son) can't WAIT for baseball season to start. They are psyched and READY! Let's see: they have their shirts, their baseball caps, their enthusiasm; all they need is the players on the field!! LOL
I was just looking up the spring training schedules last weekend. I'm ready to hear the crack of the bat!
Oh thank you for that update...I actually use to be such a baseball fan I knew all the stats, records, etc...but then I met my husband and my time went elsewhere; imagine that!
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww those aren't the boys in blue!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone knows there is only one team in Chicago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not up here. Not for a while.
It was -8° this morning....
My grandson is always ready for baseball.
You have that on good authority, then.
Batter up!!!! I smell the popcorn too!
Yep! That's the sound of spring!! Play ball!
If my Cardinals Albert Pujols wouldn't have started the spring training season seeking gastly amounts of cash to line his pockets while the world is....
Well, I am having a hard time dreaming of loving baseball.
World Series, Baby! Sox will be contenders I PREDICT. Fran's Dad
Always a good sign when baseball starts up again. I have high hopes for the Indians this year. 21 days until spring.
A.Marie--I can't wait either! I hear the Sox are KILLER this year. Yippee!
Beaded Tail--I can't wait until Joe and I are able to fly to spring training someday. It's my dream.
Tracy--While my kids were little, I didn't have time for it all that much. I do now, though, and am enjoying it again. :)
Helene--Well, there is a winning team and a losing team. I'll let you figure out which is which. :p
Pricilla--I figure it is a good sign if baseball is starting somewhere....it gives me hope.
Marilynne--I'm with him. I love baseball.
Vanilla--Oh, when I hear that Ozzie has the boys reporting in, it makes me smile. Can't wait for opening day.
Betty--And the brats, cold beer.....YUM! I just want to feel the warm sun on my face while I watch a game.
Chocolate--Opening day is around the corner!! :)
Jodi--Bummer, Jodi. Maybe you need to switch teams....
Fran's Dad--You are the second person I've heard that from in the past day. I hear they are STRONG this year!! Whooohoooo!
Karen--Our season opener is against you guys this year! It's gonna be here before we know it. :)
I am going to have to take your word for it since we have a bunch of school delays this morning because of winter weather. I wish I could report to work in Arizona.
Woohoo! I heard the rumor of spring training. I don't know why it seems earlier this year than most...but I'm excited. I LOVE baseball and it always means warmer weather is on the way!
