I Love Hobbes Thursday - Snow (sigh)

While we are all mired in the cold, white stuff and tiring of it quickly, Hobbes trudges on. He is dedicated to his routine of visiting the yard each day, no matter what the temperature. Sure, he may think twice about venturing out, but in the end, he can't resist the call of the wild.

Or the call of the basket by the fireplace when his adventures are over. Orange Stripey bellies get cold, you know.

Hey, don't forget to let me know if you want in on the book giveaway of yesterday! Just leave me a comment that you are interested. Winner will be announced on Monday.

Mostly unrelated (to todays and yesterdays post) but I did see the most beautiful fluffed up winter coyote in a clearing right off Harlem yesterday. Amazing, comforting and a little disconcerting all at the same time. Fran's Dad

It's raining here. On top of the 4" we got yesterday. All I can say is yuck. The cats haven't tried to go out for months. Lucky cats....

Last year didn't you make him stay inside?

Going outside on a cold day does have it's advantages. It makes coming back inside feel so much warmer :)

His belly is pretty close to that snow so we bet it does get pretty cold! Love the crink in his tail!

Why is that there is no basket next to my fireplace for me curl up in when I get home at the end of the day? Why?!

Helene--Spring is under there....somewhere! He'll find it, Helene. Believe me.

Fran's Dad--There is nothing like deer or a coyote sighting to amuse me. I love them both and am forever surprised at how excited I get in seeing them. I saw a coyote coming up the on ramp to 294N a month ago. Paid no attention to me or the other cars! It made me chuckle.

Pricilla--Hobbes still goes out each and every day. Why--I have no idea. We must be driving him nuts in the house! You have some smart kitties!

Grace--He's bored, Grace.

MikeWJ--Uh, yeah. Just a little.

violet--Nope. If they want to get a bit of fresh air, they may go out. But I have to stand by the door to let them right back in!

Ann--And he's felt like he's had some adventures, I guess. I found paw prints on the frozen pond. I guess he was checking out the pond heater up close.

Beaded Tail--That snow is getting closer to his belly every day. Either the snow is deeper or his belly is growing larger!

Jodi--I think you need to get one, pally. We find that we are turning on the fireplace for the cat each day. Spoiled, eh?

Go Hobbes! Keep up that exercise routine.

I thought he shunned the snow once January and February rolled around, no?

I'm surprised at how much snow there is -- almost up to his armpits. And, is that a new collar, I see? Did he get it for Christmas?

Oh oh.... I am thinking Hobbes' sweet little belly must be a bit chilly by the time he gets into the house... ;)
