And the Winner is......

Sorry to delay the announcement regarding the giveaway of Sharky's book "North Country Cache". I couldn't bear to send Colin back to college on the train, so we drove him down there this weekend and made sure he was all loaded up on food and such to prepare for the semester ahead. And yeah, I had a good cry over it. So, I was too sad and tired to write a post.

Anywho, enough of the excuses. Here's the process:

Everyone who commented got a slip with their name
tossed into a bowl.

Then Joe put on his snappiest lounge-wear attire
and drew a name.
(Note to self: We need to establish a dress code
here at the Duck and Wheel. This is freaking embarrassing.)

And the winner is......

BEADED TAIL!!!

Whoohooo!! Congratulations to Sadie, Isabella, and Angel! Oh yeah, and their Mommeh (Sharla) too. I hope you enjoy the autographed copy of Sharky's wonderful adventures in soft cover. I know this is a stressful time of year for Sharla as she is an accountant and it is tax time, but I'm thinking this will be a lovely distraction when those numbers are driving her batty.

To the rest of you, please think about buying a copy of Sharky's book on her blog. She has incredible tales to tell and my mom swears she couldn't put down this book because it was so wonderful. Purchase of this book goes directly through and to Joan (Sharky).

Congratulations, Beaded Tail!!!

Oh, and Congratulations to the winner of the "Best Dressed" category.....Joe in his jammies. Note how he supports not only the local high school (with his pants), but the college as well (the hoodie).

Ugh.

Joe can dress however he wants as long as he pulls our name out of the bowl! I'm so happy he did because I am looking forward to reading Sharky's book! Thank you so much Lin (and Joe)!

Well, the pjs are just the thing. Om told me tonight that he can now wear his anywhere since my blogging friends have all seen him in his anyway. I said, "I don't think so!" But I declare them the perfect attire for name drawing. Congrats to Sharla!

Congratulations to Sharla!

I got my hubby new pajamas and they have plaid pants, actually his old flannel jammies are plaid too - Hmmm - it seems plaid is the favorite color of pajama designers...Me, I don't wear pajamas. (I never could understand getting dressed to go to bed...)

Sorry but I had to delete my first comment - I used the word plaid several times, spelling it wrong each time (as "plain" - kinda made no sense whatsoever! - which is not unusual for me - not making sense...oh, I so have to go to bed ::babble, babble::)

Congrats to Beaded Tail!!

Tell Joe he looks cute in his jammies! Hubby wears worn-out T-shirts and shorts with gaping holes (there's even one with a big tear at the crotch area) to sleep. He claims that the more holes, the more airy and comfy!! He gets really crossed when I throw them out!

Congratulations Beady Tail! Not winning was completely negated by the wonder that is Joe's pants. Those jammies were my best laugh of the day. I need to do some shopping for the hubby.

Congratulations to Beaded Tail!
It's good no one sees the publicist in her goat clothes. We would die of embarrassment

Why, those are the sexiest pajamas I ever did see... (snicker!)

Oh, congrats to Beaded Tail!

Well I happen to like Joe's jammies :) I think they look mighty comfortable. Although I'm thinking had he dressed differently he would have picked my name instead.
Congrats to Sharla though, if it couldn't be me I'm glad it was her

Congrats to Beaded Tail:) So sad that you had to let go of your boy for another semester, but he'll be fine. And if he knows what's good for him he'll be back soon;)

And I salute Joe. I know you're not one for sweat pants, but just think about how much more comfortable you can get on the couch without your stiff jeans.

At least Joe has jammies, I think my spousal unit wears tightie whities and black socks--together. It's a sight to behold.

Catherine--Let's be thankful for pants! ;)

Diana--Ooooh, we need a contest one of these days! Winter is sooooo long. Ugh.

Beaded Tail--I'm working on getting it out the door. Look for it early next week, pally!

Vanilla--Please, do not encourage him, Vanilla.

Nellie--Why thank you, Nellie. I will hand write a "sorry you didn't win" letter. :)

Sharky--Oh, those are good for reading blogs too. You can tell Om I said that.

Rebecca--Yeah, no shirt is NOT a good look. ;) Sorry you didn't win, pally.

Grace--I like pajama pants--both for sleeping and lounging. Mine currently are not plaid, but random Mickey Mouse parts (gloves, shoes, ears) scattered about on them. I think I like them because they are NOT plaid. :)

Veronica--Oh, your husband's jammies sound lovely! Joe is mad that I posted the full photo of him in his jammies--he thought I was just going to show his hand. oops. ;0

Highway--Let me know if you need some Alan B. Shepard orange and brown plaid pajama pants. I know where you can get some. :)

Hot Rocks--Yeah, he's a dream in those things, isn't he. Ack!

Pricilla--Hee! Hee! Yeah, notice you don't see ME in my jammies. Waders maybe, but NEVER jammies.

Petula--Yeah, nothing like orange pajama pants to turn the girls on! Hee! Hee!

Chuck--He's comfy alright, Chuck. Ugh.

Ann--I think he would have dressed differently if he knew his whole body was going to be in the photo! :)

Nancy--I like yoga pants, but I never, EVER go out in them. Joe wouldn't be caught dead in these in public either--hence he's mortified that you all saw him in his jammies. :)

Jodi--NOOOOOOO!

Duni--I think there is a market for orange plaid, Duni. I'm just saying.... ;)
