Now DistrictLines.com Sucks
Criminy. Here we go again.
But this time it isn't Target.com, it's DistrictLines.com--a website where you can order merchandise that feature current bands. In this case, Col wanted an Owl City t-shirt, which may never, ever come if Districtlines. com has any say in it.
Ugh.
Calling to inquire about the order I placed back in November, I swear I got "Peggy" on the phone. Swear. It. And they were about as helpful.
When I spoke of my dismay of not having my order for Christmas, "Peggy" advised that I draw a picture of the items I ordered and wrap that up. And she was serious. Not even kidding. What is it with me and online ordering this year??!
I'm wondering if they have Chris Botti t-shirts that I can order? Sigh.

Called Comcast ti find out why bill was 155 and not 39 for final. They said no one came to disconnect so was still being charged. I said TWO techs came to disconnect and ransacked my house like robbers getting the boxes they weren't supposed to take.
Called ATT-how to get rebate on wireless gateway they had when I was setting it up online. They said oh there is no such thing for what you ordered. Stuck with $90 charge.
Now I am stuck with internet that keeps going out and afraid to go back to Comcast for expensive but working internet.
Happy weekend :-)
I think you better stick to shopping at the malls my friend ~ perhaps you will have better luck! :)
xo Catherine
That is hilarious that she suggested that. It's sad for you though and for Col, but man...the balls she had to say that. Wow!
OMG she seriously suggested that. UNREAL.
I may have a "this company sucks story coming up myself" I ordered a rather pricey gift for my son several days ago and I'm beginning to worry about whether or not I fell for a scam. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I tell ya-- shop at Buy.com. YEAH I do ads for them to promote them, but I buy from them all the time. I LOVE that store. They never give me a hassle, their shipping is fast...
You are having sucky luck online aren't you? I did ALL my shopping online (buying doll clothes off CraigsList counts, right? My husband thinks I need a 12-step program!) and so far EVERYTHING has shipped. American Girl & Walmart.com were delivered within 3 days of the order. I am so proud to say I haven't stepped foot in a store!
Although I need some wrapping paper so I guess it's time for a trip to Dollar Tree! (NOT on the weekend though!)
What is Owl City?
I'm so sorry. I do most of my shopping online since my family and all the stores are so far away. I have so far been lucky.
You need to let me do your on-line shopping. I've been at it for over 10 years and never yet have I had a problem. We don't shop Amazon tho, cause my husband had a real bad experience with them, personally I have never used them.
I can do this for ya, no prob!
Oh My! That was an unbelievable response. Really...draw a picture of the item and wrap it up??? I would have gone ballistic! Best of Luck with your order.
I love those Peggy commercials... after having spoken with her many, many times, I feel as if we are old friends, er.... enemies.
Draw a picture and wrap that up? Oh no way! That is the craziest response ever. I hope the item arrives so you don't have to sharpen up your drawing skills! (Although if you do, hope you share it with us!)
Helene--Sigh. Sounds like you and I are up the same creek. :(
Catherine--No kidding! Can you believe it???! I've never had so many problems with online orders.
Sherrie--That is some creative customer service answer, wasn't it?? Fortunately, Col understood that he'd get his present sometime in May. At least he is old enough to get that.
Ann--NOT kidding. The only recourse we have is our blogs--both to get their names out there and to find a place to vent our frustrations. I hope you won't have to join me.
Rebecca--I've always had really good luck with online orders, but that name of the company was a red flag right off the back. When I called, it sounded like I was interrupting the office Christmas party. Ugh.
Diana--I ordered nearly all of my Christmas gifts online and have had good experiences, except for this one. It sounds like a rinky-dink company and sure enough, my suspicions were correct. Ugh. Owl City is a guy who sings some firefly song. Ask your son.
Pricilla--Me too--that's what gets me! I was suspicious of this company from the start, but that is where my son wanted to order the products from. Ugh. At least he is old enough to understand.
Grace--You have to watch Amazon because sometimes you are transferred to a third party for your order and that's when probs come in. Next time, I'm calling you to do my shopping.
Jean--I held my cool, but I did say that was ridiculous. She told me not to get angry, and I wasn't, but that I was telling her frankly that her service was horrible. I think I interrupted their office holiday party. Let's see if I ever get the order.
Sharky--I love them too because I've been there as well. Unfortunately this was playing in my head the whole time I was talking to this dame. Ugh.
Beaded Tail--Can you even believe that? First she said that I had exchanged my order and then she said shipping would take longer because I was in Texas. What???! I never received the order and I live in Chicago. I think she was either really confused or she was just an idiot. I'm thinking I may have to do a drawing just for the laughs.
I went today to pick up my prepaided with cash order, didn't get a receipt and they tell me I never prepaid. I left with nothing and have to wait till Monday to talk to a manager. Eeeeerrr! Tis' the season. Grrrrr!
Oh, now I kinda understand why I don't have many friends. I've actually given the same advice as Peggy on multiple occassions.
I can't believe she seriously said that. I'd so call my credit card company and cancel it. Grrr! Customer service just isn't what it used to be, that's for sure.
Jodi--Ugh!! It's frustrating, isn't it???! Now is NOT the time for such service.
Ozark Mtn Cats--You did NOT! Uh, kids do not like photos of gifts. Just saying....
Storm--I tried canceling with Target and the credit card will only dispute when they charge you. They cannot put a stop pay on something shipping to you. Ugh.
I prefer to buy something I can feel and see. You can't do that with online shopping. Photos are pretty misleading.
Merry Christmas, Lin! I'm taking a break again to spend Christmas with my parents in my hometown.
I love Chris Botti.
Can you order one extra t-shirt for me? :)
That's got to be the funniest thing I've ever heard! A sales clerk advising you to draw a picture of what you want and wrap it up-ha! Actually....that's not such a bad idea. Maybe I'll save that trick for when I have kids- Yea, sorry, hunny, they were out of Suzy wet herself dolls- but I drew her picture for you! LOL!
Veronica --If you think photos are misleading...wait until you see my drawing of Col's Christmas present! Poor kid is gonna be really confused.
V7--Seriously??! Did you read my post on when we went to go see him. Criminy. I had his whole fan forum lighting torches and setting out to kill me. He put on a great show, but not much fun in the meet and greet. (shhhhh--don't tell them I told you that!)
Nancy--Talk about creative customer service. And when I told her that was ridiculous, she said "Ma'am, you don't have to get mad" Really???!
Oh man :( I hope that the t-shirt shows up! I am having some on-line shopping drama of my own with Sam's Club... Waiting until the whole thing unfolds to blog about it though.
