I'll have you know that while I'm running crazy with band fundraisers, working the concession stand for craft shows, going to work, and fighting evil no-gooders, Hobbes is wallowing in everything Christmas.
Homeboy is camped out in his basket by the fire, Christmas lights aglow above his head. Periodically, he'll open his eyes to check on the stockings that hang above him, but for the most part, he's just snuggling with the holiday pillows and chilling.
And if he's not warming his belly by the fire, he's helping me "decorate" the house, which loosely translates to "Hey--what's in
this box?".

Then he wants to go outside. In the snow--a lot. Except it is cold and if I let him out, then he doesn't want to come in. But I don't want him to freeze his paws off, so I have to ask him like a thousand times to please come in. He finally does and then he runs to his basket by the fire. And the circle begins again.
The circle of life--for Hobbes. It's a good life.

Hobbes! I cannot believe you put your entire face into the snow! I'm glad you have a cozy fire to warm up beside.
My favorite has to be the valentine flowers box. I'll wait :-)
That's my boy.
Love the pics! What is Hobbes looking for in the snow?
Look at the paws again. THERE ISN'T A CHANCE IN HELL THOSE MONGO PAWS WILL FREEZE OFF. The homeboy has tiger paws.
Daisy--Isn't he silly?! He runs in it, sticks his face in it, and they he chases imaginary things in it. He's a goof! And a very cold one at that.
Helene--You would love him these days, Helene. He is VERY cuddly! I love how he cops my body heat every time I sit on the couch. :)
Duni--He chases imaginary things in the snow. He runs around chasing snowflakes or something and then sticks his face in there. He's goofy!
Okay, Hobbes may have crawled into the box, but someone else closed it. If I'm wrong, please send him over here to teach the dog how to close the door when he comes in.
We should all be more like Hobbes at this time of year!
Gotta love those native northern cats-- fearless plunging their whiskers into the snow!
Ditto with what vanilla said. Hobbes, reveal your secret. ;)
And they talk about a dog's life! Cats have it ever so much more wonderful. (At least when they live with indulgent humans!) That top photo is a hoot!
I wuv Hobbes! That picture of him in the snow is great!
The more we learn about Hobbes, the more we love him! He's such a character and has a very wonderful life!
Wow, I'll say he's got it good. I don't know if I'd choose to put my face in the snow, but I guess if you know you've got a cozy basket by the fire, why not?
I am so jealous of Hobbes life!
It's good to be a house cat.
LOLOL! I love that picture in the box, its both precious and hysterical! omg
Tracy
Hobbes you look just like Duke with your face buried in the snow like that.
Jodi--So, that's why he won't come in! Do you think I spoil him a bit???
Vanilla--Well, if we taught him to shut the door, then you would want him to learn how to wipe his paws and pick up his own doo-doo. Then he would be a kid and not a dog anymore. :)
Hot Rocks--No kidding! I'm so busy these days, I would KILL to lay by the fire. Sigh.
Rebecca--He absolutely loves the snow, Rebecca! He goes out every single day in it and I have to drag him in. Hobbes is like no other cat I have owned. :)
Grace--Any cat that lives here has a darn good life, Grace. They even get beautiful Christmas cards from people like you. :) Thanks, pally.
Betty--He is one wacky cat, Betty. His adventures are endless.
Beaded Tail--It's funny because I thought the same thing about your kitties this week with Hugo visiting! It's nice to see all the silly stuff they do.
Nancy--I can't post all the photos I have of him in his basket by the fire. He is downright obscene toasting his everythings!
Stephanie--You and me both!! I'd kill to just lay by the fire these days.
Pricilla--I see that your gang is finding that out! Do any of them go outside anymore?
Tracy--It's funny because he thinks he's so much tinier than he really is. To see him cramming his 47 lbs into a teeny box is hilarious!
Ann--I'm telling you, I think Duke and Hobbes could be a blog all on their own!
That box pic should be your christmas card! LOVE IT!!!
Your cat is crazy. But you already know that. Just loco.
Hmmm.... what better day then Hobbes Thursday... nope... can't think of any. Hope sweet kitty is having fun in the snow ~ Banjo is too wimpy to go out! :)
xo Catherine
Hobbes has the best of both worlds. Such a cute picture of him in the snow. My cats always like laying by a heater in the winter so I don't think they would care for snow.
Hobbes. Dude. You can't see anything down there. Did you open your eyes while you were digging with your face? All white, right? So funny!
Sounds like my dog. Somewhere along the way, she got the idea that she was in charge. Oh crap, I think she is.
