I Love Hobbes Thursday - SNOW!

The snow was falling one night last week--right before Christmas. And it was that magical kind of snow--one that is huge flakes and quick accumulation.

Hobbes couldn't stand himself and demanded that I let him out in the dark, which is something I don't typically do. He just wanted to be out in that snow for some reason, so I opened the door tentatively. Out he shot to romp in the gloriously white world--like a child in the first snow of the winter.

He wasn't out for long, but he did manage to check the pond while wrastling some snowflakes for good measure. It's uncanny his ability to remind me how lovely this earth is sometimes.

Go to 10. And to think YOU have the teeshirt!

WikiLeaks' mastermind, the guy who everyone loved to hate or loved to defend, got the most first-place votes (25%) on CNN.com's “Most Intriguing Person” poll for 2010. Following Assange were:

2. President Barack Obama
3. Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg
4. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs
5. Marisol Valles Garcia, a police chief in Mexico
6. Chilean miner Edison Pena
7. Kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart
8. Tony Hayward, the former CEO of BP
9. Kim Jong Un, presumed future leader of North Korea
10. Antoine Dodson, whose thoughts about rape went viral on video

Oh the wonder of new falling snow. Everyone's got to love it. Vanilla is correct.

Helene, now you have the Antoine Dodson mix stuck in my head.

My cats detest snow so no footy prints for them. Beautiful photo.

What an amazing picture! And I guess having cats is like having children...they really never lose the magic in the eyes for things like this. So great to see!

Sorry, Lifeshighway! :-) We're all cooled up or whatever that was, thanks to Lin-but at what price?? :-) Just call me the Antoine fact finder-everywhere I go now I find stuff unwillingly.

Helene--No kidding! Thank goodness he is here to remind us. :)

Vanilla--I love the big giant snowflakes coming down. :)

Melodie--I dunno. Most times I think he's just wacky. :)

Helene--Isn't it something?! He was hilarious, wasn't he?

Chuck--When it snows like that, you can't help but love it. It was so pretty that Hobbes just couldn't resist. I don't blame him. You had to see me taking the photo through the kitty door. :)

Highway--Wait. I'm putting the BEST YouTube link EVER on my blog tomorrow. :)

Nancy--Hobbes is odd because he loves to go out in the snow. And if I go with him--he loves it more. Silly cat.

Helene--Yeah, how do you keep finding this stuff on him???!

Karen--Me too. He was just mad I wouldn't go out with him!

Grace--He didn't stay out long, but he just loves it so.

Ann--He is so funny sometimes. I think we should get him and Duke together.

Beaded Tail--Well, I think all animals fall into that category.

DJ--They are huge. He makes really BIG footprints!

Stephanie--He didn't stay out long, but he just loves going out in it. It was really pretty that night--I don't blame him.

Hot Rocks--I've got to take more photos are there is lots going on under there. Did you see the video from yesterday? I think you would like that.

Sharky--He just reminds me to find joy in it all.

Lynne--Yeah, and what it is like to have wonder back in your life again. It's a good thing.

He is such a beautiful boycat. The major made me type that.

Talking about our beautiful world. Tonight while going for an evening walk quess what I saw! You're not going to believe this, but a great big frog was sitting there waiting for a bug to come by.

Yes it was that warm.

I have to say I'm impressed with Hobbes' adventurous spirit. Does he want to go out into the snow again after the first snowshoe experience?
