Guess who got her Christmas present early? Yep, I bought me a brand new, spiffy flip video camera! Oooooh, how I love that nifty little toy! (Thank you, Jodi, for clueing me in once again.)
Okay, so the best part of my new videoing capabilities is that Hobbes is now in action here at the Duck and Wheel. And what is better than that?? Nu. thing.
So, here you go, pallies--here's Hobbes and his wee voice. Now you can experience the big guy like he was in your own home.

Hobbes! It's nice to see him in action. Somehow I expected a different sound...not deeper exactly, just, idonno what. Isn't it always that way though? Whatever sound they make just doesn't compare to their size.

I've seen that rug video before and I think it's hilarious, like the talking cats and the translation - too, too funny.
And yes, we always think our cats should have a particular voice based on their personalities and then a squeak comes out. My orange boy rarely talks and then it comes out all high-pitched.
Whereas Frankie Lulu Belle, a brown stripped tabby, has a deeper voice - sounds just like the kitties in the cat translation video, and they are also brown stripped tabbies. Maybe they all sound the same? Zeke the hulk, well I don't think I have ever heard him say one word!
Hobbes has such a cute voice for such a big guy!!! He is ADORABLE!!!!!!
But OMG forget the cat-- LOOK at those gorgeous FLOORS!!!! OMGOMG, they are beautiful.
Sherpa had to come check it out....he says meow right back.
ps - you know you can shrink your videos to fit your blog by changing the size of them within the code. I change mine to a width of 400. If you care....
Oh Hobbes is SO cute! I didn't think I could fall in love with him any more but I was wrong! Can't wait to see more videos of him!

Storm--This is Hobbes demanding to go outside--when it is dark, which is not allowed. While this gets on my nerves, I realize this is nothing, right??
CG--It is the Mino and yep, everyone is getting one in my family for Christmas. Well, except for Joe because, well,....uh, he doesn't need one--he has nothing to video. It is VERY cool and small. Glad you stopped in to see the big guy--isn't his voice hilarious???! It's so tiny!
First of all, I was just telling my mom today that I need a video camera. I'm jealous - let me have yours! LOL.
Secondly, OM freaking Gosh, how oh so cute. I have never heard a kitty voice like that. He actually answers, talks... does he always do that? Does he meow like "normal?" Fascinating and how cool to see him in action. Now I'm totally in love. :-)
Awww...Hobbes is adorable. There is something special about an orange tabby cat (I still miss mine). What a talker!
Petula--That IS his "normal" voice, Petula! Isn't it pathetic?? He does talk to us most times and if you play "where's the kitty?", he'll answer you from wherever he is hiding. It's hilarious! I got my 8G Mino flip video at Best Buy last week for $159.99--which was $70 off the list price. I thought that was pretty cheap for a video camera. And it works great!
Jean--There is no cat like an male orange tabby. They are the BEST kitties ever! (Don't tell Grace or Daisy that I said that) We've even started "Red Cat Society" (see the sidebar) to honor red/orange kitties.
Oh that is too cute!! And here I thought i was the only person out there with a HUGE cat with a tiny, wee voice. Hooray for Hobbes in action.
