I Love Hobbes Thursday!
Thanks, Helene, for the reminder.
Hobbes is officially in hibernation. He goes outside when I come home from work and comes in right at dinner--too cold to stay out much longer than that. Then, after a little dinner, he curls up on his favorite blankie on the couch and waits for me to turn the fireplace on--which I haven't done just yet, but he's hoping I will.
He's like the Ground Hog--if you never went outside, you could figure out what season it is by Hobbes. Cold = blankie, warm = outside. There is no in-between for our little buddy.
Today's weather report: It's a bed day with a very likely chance of blankie later in the afternoon.
Keep reading--there is another post today!

Phew. I realize after Joe and all that you were just so excited about this new guy but geez.......
Glad I could help. :-)
ps I love the weather report :-)
That's my kind of weatherman!
Wow, this means tomorrow is FRIDAY!
I would like to be oh Hobbe's plan for life today. The weather sucks: cold and rainy. But of course you may not notice seeing how you have a new boyfriend and all.
How could you forget Hobbes? That darn Darryl has you too flustered!
Darryl must have been quite the hottie to make you forget about Hobbes. Glad you didn't forget him entirely.
Looks like we have some blankie weather coming our way, yuck
Sounds a lot like the handy weather rock!
Helene--No, no, no! I stayed home from work on Monday! It has nothing to do with Darryl. Really.
Violet--He's probably more accurate than the guy on TV.
Vanilla--Hobbes is a calendar too!
Highway--I sure hope Darryl likes cats. ;)
Beaded Tail--No, no, no! I really did sleep in on Monday and got all discombobulated!
Ann--Actually I was just excited to have a good post that I went and wrote that, completely forgetting it was Thursday! Life of a blogger. :)
Sharky--I know it's cold when the cats sit on me to cop my body heat. They have no shame.
My dogs do the same thing as Hobbes. When it's warm and sunny, they want to go out 20 times a day to just sit and sniff, but when it's cold like it's been the last couple of days, they're either curled up in a blanket, their dog beds, or waiting for me to turn on the gas fireplace. I have to force them to go out. I don't know what they'll do if I ever have to move somewhere that doesn't have a gas one. They love it, as do I.
BTW, I've given you the Versatile Blogger Award on my blog. Congrats!
Wow...sounds like how I gage the weather. Haha...M says I was a cat in a past life. I think he's right....
Stacie--Thanks for the award! :) Our fireplace is gas as well, with a remote. There were some times when I went into the room and the fireplace would be on and only the cat sitting there. Joe says it's the remote acting up, but I swear the cat was turning it on for himself. :)
Nancy--I think I was too. I like naps--a LOT.
I left a comment here this afternoon - where the heck is it???
A dang entertaining post with entertaining replies. Who could ask for anything more?
Hey Lin,
There is a picture over on my blog just for you.
Have a nice weekend!
Grace--Did you leave it with Darryl?
Jean--It's a tough crowd around here, Jean, if I forget Hobbes Thursday. Sheesh.
Ozark Mtn Cats--OOOOH! I LOVE that little guy! I swear they smile. Thanks for thinking of me. :)
He's a lot cuter than any groundhog I've ever seen. Brrr, I don't blame him for staying inside. Although we're finally able to play in the yard without sweating our asses off.
