Flat Stanley on Campus
Bummer.
And when I pointed it out in the parking lot, Em starts yelling "Gees, Mom! How do you even know what that is?!".
I know. I just know.

Yikes, that's quite a death position!
Em, that straggling leg is the "dead" give away.
Ummm.... ewwww....
Hope your day is delightful Lin!
xo Catherine
Violet--I feel like that some days. :)
Jodi--That's what I noticed right away! Sheesh. Kids are dumb.
Catherine--You didn't like Flat Stanley??? :( Well, at least he went fast, right?
Bummer, indeed. As you hinted in your comment to Catherine, he didn't suffer.
You are the frog expert!
Awww...poor froggie pally!!! At least he went quickly!
You have a weird fetish for frog and toads.
Yeah, I knew what flat Stanley was immediately. I see a lot of squished toads in my neighborhood.
My first reaction is...eeew! However, Some people would view that as art!
Well now, that is sort of sad and pathetic, don't you think! LOL
Hmmm...was he squished or did he just keel over and dry up? I feel like that lately - squished AND dried up. (Oh boo-hoo, poor me!)
Well, I wrote two comments that blogger ate and spit back at me, I'm trying again but I'm not attempting to be philosophical.
It will have to be enough to know I was... twice :)
Sad...but also gross. I've got a frog pic for you in tomorow's post- and it's alive too!
Awww, poor froggie. No higher education for him
That's too bad he got squished but hopefully there's lots more on campus.
aw poor flat stanley. Even in his flattened state it's still quite obvious what he is
Ick. We used to see a lot of Flat Stanley's kin down the dirt road we used to live off of. Glad we don't have to experience (or cause) any more of those!
Jen
Vanilla--No, I think death-by-tire is probably pretty swift. And "poppy". Ewwwww.
Karen--Well, I don't know about that, but I do know my roadkill. ;)
A.Marie--Yeah, nothing like a dried up Flat Stanley. Poor guy. :(
Highway--Nah, I just connect with them because I raise them. I guess they are sorta like pets in a way and it makes me sad to see one dead.
Hot Rocks--Oh, notice how I had to go take a photo of it! And Em encouraged me!! Go figure. Life is a blog post, you know.
Lynne--It was sad! To think he never made it back to the water. :(
Grace--I'm feeling squished and dried up today too. Life ran me over today--So much for Pollyanna.
Tracy--Oh, Crud. I hate when that happens. I'm glad you still made a comment even though your other, more brilliant ones are in limbo now. I feel your pain. I'm brilliant in limbo too. ;)
Nancy--Ohhh, I can't wait!!!
Pricilla--Nope. He gone. He couldn't get past the parking lot!
Beaded Tail--I didn't see any ponds or anything nearby, but Colin says he sees them all over. I hope they make it back to the water--wherever that is.
Ann--No kidding! Em was wondering how I knew what that was and I was like "really? Look at the leg!". She didn't want to look all that close for some reason. Sheesh.
Jen--I've found a few of my own Flat Stanley's out in the yard--which really makes me sad. It's extra sad when it's one of yours. :(
Oh, I hate seeing them when they have jay hopped and lost. Dang...I brake for frogs why can't others???
oh poor froggy. now, who stole his other leg??
You and me, the road kill queens!
Jean--This guy was in a parking lot, so in all fairness, he may have hopped himself right under that tire. Baaaad mistake on his part. :(
Nessa--I think it's sort of twisted up and over his body from what I could see. I really didn't want to look THAT close! ;)
Sharky--Yeah! But I'm missing the bag. :( Fish and Bag is still my all-time favorite!
Of course you would spot a frog in any shape or form. You're part amphibian, Lin.
You got spiritual connection with the realm of the misfortune frogs. Awesome Lin.
Whenever my kids ask me "How do you know?!?!" I always answer, "I'm amazing like that."
Lin, when it comes to frogs, YOU DA EXPERT!!!
Rock on, baby!
