I Love Hobbes Thursday

There's nobody here but us stripes.

What I love about Hobbes is his complete insistence that he is invisible when he is out in the yard. What part of ottoman-size makes this cat think that nobody sees him? He's not only extra-large, but he is also orange.

Sigh.

I like his Positive Polly attitude--I am what I think I am. We should all be so delightfully naive.

Blends right in-I can't find him-nope.

Camouflage: you're doing it right! ... sort of.

I mean...he is a bit hidden in this photo at least. Maybe he's starting to know what other yard objects are orange too. Hehe.

It has always amused me that cats think if they can't see you, you can't see them.

Delightful naivete. Perhaps you have something there, Hobbes (and Lin).

Truth is, he was pretty well camoflauged. I think it was dang smart of him to get into a stripey shadow. Genuis cat!

I think you should give up calling your blog "Duck & wheel with string" and just call it "Hobbes R Us"

Hobbes? What Hobbes? I don't see a big orange cat...OK, maybe I see him a little but I didn't want to hurt his kitty feelings!

Bless his little heart thinking that he's invisible. He's cute in camouflage.

Tehehe, he almost matches the color of the fence! Why, is that a big orange rock I see? ;)

So where is Hobbes today? All I see is shadow stripes. :)

Well, he's getting the right idea... I mean, if zebras stripes are supposed to hide them in a plain brown landscape, why not Hobbes in green?

ps. my wv is "binge"

Oh Hobbes, you're so silly!!!

Helene--Aw, you're just going along with his little game, Helene.

Daisy--Yeah, if you squint and stand about two blocks!

Nancy--I think he's hoping we don't see him and bring him in the house. He's dreading winter I think.

Grace--Yeah, like kids. But you can't miss Hobbes.

Vanilla--Sometimes I chose to be delightfully naive. I think it is a good place to be. :)

DG--Yeah, too bad there is a big Bozo arrow pointing at him! That cat thinks he's little when in actuality, he's freaking HUGE!

LJ--I'm really trying not to make this blog about Hobbes. Really. But there is this wacky crowd here who actually likes that darn cat. Sigh.

Melodie--Please, Melodie. Let's not encourage him. I think he was just hiding from me so that I wouldn't bring his butt in the house!

Chocolate--Isn't it funny how he hides? He also gets behind a 1 inch tall plant, thinking I don't see him behind it. He has a really bad sense of how big he actually is. Silly cat!

Storm--He does match the fence! Add in mulch and he's a chameleon. It's a wonder I find him at all!

Ann--He is hard to see actually. I loved how he knew to just sit by all those stripes. I honestly think he knew he was hard to see there!

Too funny. I'm sure he wasn't trying to hide. He was trying to catch the maximum sun exposure. Yup. :-)

Where's Hobbes? :)

What cat? I see no cat on the ground by the fence.

Bozo arrow, hiding behind 1 in tall plant. Yep the blog is about Hobbes and we love every it of it.

I love everyone's comments. As much fun as the pictures.
