Gone Marching

Whew! What a week! And to top it off, we are spending the day in 50 degree weather sitting in bleachers. Ugh. Think of me when you are all snuggled in on your comfy couch tonight, will ya?

I'll be back visiting all of you on Sunday. Can't wait!

Following your command...all snuggled on the comfy couch this chilly-fall-Saturday-marching-band-free-weekend. Good luck to your kids!

Man, I miss that SO MUCH. Looking at that picture I can almost hear them. What's their show this year? And is everyone trying to do Ok Go's 'This Too Shall Pass'? Just curious.

Hey, 50 sounds pretty darn nice for football. It was those 30 degree nights, or sleet that were awful.

Ann--It was chilly, but fun. At least it wasn't raining this time! :)

Catherine--Dang! That sounds like fun!! Wish I was there instead. :(

Jodi--Oooooh, a free weekend???! What's that?

Shieldmaiden--Our band director sort of put the kabosh on This Too Shall Pass. :( Bummer. We are doing "Romantic Relics", which is Bacchanal, Goin' Home, and 1812 Overture. And yes, we have flames that come out of the tubas at the end of 1812 Overture. It's so cool.

Betty--That is not nice, Betty! Me and my butt are very jealous!

Nancy--It's hard to get good field photos. I'm either too cold or too far away to take good photos.

Pricilla--I hope you are at least sleeping in the sun! :)

Beaded Tail--We had to turn on the heat in the house when we came home--that's how cold it got. :( Next week they are talking 80 degrees! Go figure.

Diana--No kidding! My winter coat is getting a mean workout already! I'm okay just as long as it does not rain.

Sharky--Well, the 50 degree day quickly turns into a 30 degree night. These typically end at 8:30 or 9:00, so the temps drop pretty quickly. I'm okay as long as the rain holds off.

Funny, how your posting about being outside in 50 degree weather this Saturday and I wrote about heat exhaustion over at my place!
Wanna switch for a while?

Hey thank you!! for the link to the "Bed Intruder Song" marching band performance. I love love loved it. Why can't all marching bands be like that? Well. I guess we would need about 100 more people.

Love the picture! :-D ... Well, I hope you're all thawed out by now. Enjoy the rest of your night.

DJ--I'll switch with you on the weekends!

Lauren--I think we can do it with less than that. We don't really need the skanky dancers either!

Petula--Took me all day Sunday to recover. I feel like I'm 100 years old!

Veronica--You are KILLING me, pally!

V7--He's chilly too, so I'm sure if he was there, he'd be right with you in that warm sunshine!

Stephanie--We did! All that cold and stiffness is worth it.
