Don't be thinking its porn, you dirty minds.
This song goes through my head daily as I zig-zag around the orange cones, wooden horses, and endless road construction crews in Chicago. After hearing the first 2 minutes of this song, I guarantee you are gonna hate me for the rest of the day---only because you are gonna be singing it too.
Each day, there is yet another road to be torn up, a new detour to take, and new adventures in driving to work. And instead of being crabby, I just take my Pollyanna butt out the door early and sing this song to myself......and all the remarkably-patient drivers who merge 3 lanes of traffic into 1 along with me each morning.
I dedicate this to my fellow mergers AND the dude who pulled up along side of me this morning to tell me that I had no brake lights:

The only one in this house who has to play chicken with the traffic and highway to get to work and college is Alee. Kevin and I drive four miles down the road. But, I'm thinking Demi's driver's ed class might enjoy this YouTube. Safe travels to work pally!
Thanks, thanks a lot.
I want a Boston terrier that drives.
Ok, that was truly annoying. I stopped it at 1:01 - I don't drive, walking is dangerous enough. I don't like being in motor vehicles either. A pox on all wheeled things with motors (or something like that).
Uhhh.... should that guy be playing his guitar and the trumpet while driving his car??? LOL
Well now ~ that will be stuck in my head all day. Thanks Lin! :)
xo Catherine
PS ~ I hope you don't mind, I bragged about my big tomatoes on my blog today and mentioned your name. ;)
Gee thanks Lin! But how do you get all those band members in your car every morning?
I can't stand commuting. That song is pretty catchy. I am surprised no one plays it during commuting times.
It was nice he told you about your lights. Better than it was a cop telling you with a ticket.
Haha I loved it! But my son came up behind me and watched and said it was the most retarded thing he had seen all day...phtzzzz...what does he know!
I wonder if that person is related to the guy who pulled along side of me to brag that he was number one. Just saying . . .
That's hilarious. Thanks for the afternoon giggle :)

Driving around/ in Chicago is THE WORST. Been there, done that too much. (Well, I won't even try Manhattan)
Maybe I'm just not quite right but I liked it. Quite catchy, I'm sitting here bobbing in my chair while I'm listening to it...lol
I don't mind the morning drive, but then I don't do any city driving.
Haha...great song! I agree with you...I really like driving. Traffic can be annoying (anyone living in/ around a big city knows) but, I don't care unless I'm late. Driving to and from is a time to reflect on what's to come or what has happened. A time to be alone and just be.
Jodi--Oh, there is no cup of coffee that wakes you up like dodging traffic and construction at 7:00 a.m. each morning. Ugh. You are lucky to miss all of this.
Highway--I wonder if that dog is the one who let me change lanes yesterday????
Grace--I think you got the idea after a minute or so of that song, Grace. I'll bet you found yourself singing it once or twice today. C'mon....admit it, Grace! ;)
Catherine--Well, everyone else is putting on make-up, texting, reading, eating, and doing who-knows-what--I'm thinking playing an instrument isn't that far fetched! Crap--I've got to go see your tomatoes. (Oh, that doesn't sound right!)
Lola--Oh, I'm totally acapella. But you can do that very easily with that song.
Anne--Me neither, but I gotta get to work. All this construction is making it all very interesting because the stimulus money just kicked in and EVERYTHING is being worked on. Ugh. I think this should be mandatory music for the morning drive.
Pricilla--I know! Wasn't that nice??! Whew! Had it fixed already, so I'm ready for tomorrow!
Melodie--Yeah, you can tell he doesn't drive in traffic or he'd appreciate that song! Kids--sheesh.
Chuck--Hahaha! Nope--this guy was really nice. Or maybe he just thought I was cute. ;)
Jen--I really do find myself singing that song.
Sharky--Oh, you get used to it. I'm really surprised on how civilized the 3 lanes into 1 is going.
Ann--I like it too! Well, the song, NOT the drive. It's the worst part of my day. And believe it or not--going home is worse.
Nancy--Well, I would like the drive if I didn't have to be extra vigilant for wacky drivers and lots of construction. It is a hellish drive and I'm convinced I'm gonna get hit sooner or later. This is a major north/south route in Chicago and I think half the city is on that road in the morning. Ugh.
