Alex and I are out in the yard every night, he is int he pool after dark-which is getting earlier and earlier. We are savoring the last moments. Snow will be here soon enough. Hot Flashes and humidity are beginning to get to me though.
Man it you had it as cold, miserable and rainy as I have had it for the last 4 days you would not say that. Frost is imminent. FROST and it's only 9/1 That is just wrong.
Every day that I find myself still here is a good day for me. I feel fortunate that I live where there are changing seasons. I love it all, hot, cold, dry, wet. You never know what you're going to get.
Jodi--Oh, I'm going Neil on that one. Nice choice.
Chuck--But....but....I love fall, Chuck. I like cool, crisp air and my cute fall coat....
Helene--I'm just done and so is the garden. We are all looking weary from the heat and tired of too little rain. I'm ready to move on to fall.
Tracy--Sign up for google and get a nifty link, chicky. That way everyone can click on your name and get to your website when you leave nice comments. Is Macy enjoying school?
Veronica--It depends on where you live in the country. If you see, some of the pallies are already seeing the signs of cooler weather coming. We aren't just yet, but I am sure ready!
Catherine--I'm not a big summer fan, so I'm ready for my favorite season---FALL! Hooray!
Nancy--Really? ARen't you tired of being hot and sticky?? I am. I like sweaters and marching season. I like a little frost on the pumpkin.
Grace--Yep. It'll be Christmas before we know it, Grace. Sigh.
Jen--HI, Pally! I hope you are doing okay. I know that you've had a lot going on, and maybe the cooler weather will make you feel better. I hope so. Glad you came over today. :)
Pricilla--Oh, I'm not ready for frost just yet. But something other than 90 degrees and 90 percent humidity would be a nice break.
Anita's Mom--Welcome, new pally! I kinda expected you, but I'm so glad you finally commented!! Welcome!! I'm with you, I like the changing seasons. And when I'm really tired of one, the next one comes along. I like it here too. :)
Sharky--I love to sleep with the windows open when it is cool outside. This summer has been so hot, I have missed my frogs croaking at night and I don't like that very much. I'm ready to open the windows again!
Casey--They didn't go yet?? Criminy. What are they waiting for???!
Ann--How about fall? Don't you like changing leaves and cool, crisp air?? I do. I'm tired of air conditioning and "fake" air.
Violet--Hooray! I LOVE fall too!
Stephanie--NO WAY! Ugh. I'm not ready for that just yet. Is there any in-between???
I'm hanging on to every second of summer that I can! We just had 3 days of clouds and a little rain and I'm so not ready for our fall/winter rains here. The sun is out now and my mood is even way better!
I just think life is more fun if we notice the little stuff and laugh...a LOT. I'm lucky to live with a family who humors me, joins in the fun and tolerates me most days.
I have a wee house and yard, but it is loaded with adventures. There isn't a backyard pond owner out there who has more stories about her frogs, snails, fish than me. And I don't even make this stuff up!
I'm glad you are here to laugh with me. Welcome, pallies!

I'm torn between signing Niel Diamond and Earth Wind and Fire to welcome in the month of September.
No through. No through yet! Hold summer dear while it lasts. Savor each golden moment like the gentle kiss of a lovely young lass.
Jodi-EWF it is!

Love this post girl!!!!
Is there an official date which marks the beginning of Fall? Some of the blogs I visited looked like summer is far from over.
Yup... I think it's over. :(
xo Catherine
Not me! I desperately cling to August...I mean I'm clawing at it with my fingernails to stay (I.E. blogging from the rooftop deck in a bathing suit).
Well that took me a few second to process. And Happy New Year to you too!
Ahhh September. That most anticipated month where the temperature dips below 90...
I am definitely ready for fall. This summer has not been that great for me. I'm hoping autumn brings with it some happy times.
I know it's been a while since I've stopped by. I'm playing catch-up today! I hope things have been well :)
Cheers!
Jen

It was such a nice temperature outside last night after dark! I'm looking forward to the cooler daytimes.
I am too. Boy, am I. Dying for school to start next week.
Nope not done with it. I'm hanging on till the bitter end. Winters are too miserable to wish my summer away too soon
Me too! Bring on the fall!
From the sounds of it we are going to have a hard frost in the next few days and potentially even snow... I am so not ready for that!! My poor garden!

I miss the summer already. I miss the kids being home and in the pool.
Beaded Tail--Okay, you make a good point, but I'm just ready for cooler weather here. And it hasn't rained in forever! Send some my way, okay?
Anonymous--I always missed the kids when they went back to school too. Sigh.
I don't think I'm done with summer quite yet, but I sure am done with all this heat.
I think Hobbes dream is to become ballerina. You should give him all the support Lin.
Sorry wrong post. That supposed for your last post. Blamed it on your pop up comment box!
Summer ain't over till I said so! :)
Ratty--That's what got me--the heat and it being so darn dry. I'm ready for some open windows and cool temps for sleeping!
V7--Why a ballerina??? Do you think he could dance on his toes?? ;)
