I think he's doing the same with her.
So, get ready, CG. If you are gonna spend some quality time with my Stripey Goodness, prepare for getting covered in stripey fur and cat drool. And as for the butt thing--well, I guess it's just the price you pay for cat love.
But, honestly--it's worth it. It's all very worth it.

You don't enjoy smelling our behinds? Oh.
Stripey Goodness can shed hair and drool all over me if he wants to. Not sure about the behinder, though! LOL
I didn't even know cats drooled. The butt thing, well that I'm familiar with, unfortunately.
How dog-like. At least how like Cookie, who lolls on the couch, drooling, shedding hair, and yes sticking his butt up-- and unlike Hobbes, he has no tail.
I aspire to being the subject of Hobbes's dreams.
I would happily put up with fur, drool, and butt.
And Daisy? It's not that we don't enjoy smelling your behinds. We'd just rather look at your pretty faces!
When it comes to cat love,it's the cat's way or no way!
Hobbes looks like he's dreaming of something very good. Pointing the butt at you seems to be a very feline thing to do. Midnight does the same.
Oh yes ~ why is it that kitty always shows 'love' by sticking it's butt in your face??? No drool from Banjo but you do get the odd kitty boogie when he goes nose to nose with you! :)
Happy Thursday Lin!
xo Catherine
I will draw something on the butt if he dare to stick his butt to my face :D
Awh...what a good boy:) Is he allowed out yet, or is trapping still in progress? Ours tend to drool when very happy too- I never experienced that in a cat before them- it's kind of weird, but flattering:)
He's a drooler, you say? I can overlook, no problem. And I love that picture.
He *is* dreaming about rubbing his cheek against my low tops, I just know it.
The curl at the end of Hobb's tail says what a wonderful dream he's having of Cardiogirl. The tail tells the story. Phyl
Stinky drools too.
Ick.
Usually right as she is standing over my face in the morning to say "wake up" nothing like a wad of cat drool to do just that.
Yep, the butt in the face is typical of cats. Especially mine. He likes to put his in my face in the morning. He thinks THAT'S going to get me out of bed to feed him. Yuck!

Be sure to drop by our blog today. We're having a MO cat Contest..
what a great picture of Hobbes. So he drools a little, with a face like that I think he can get away with it.
That cat has more personality than most people!
Daisy--Nope. Not even a little bit.
A.Marie--I love the cool weather when he wants to cuddle. It makes winter so much more bearable. :)
Violet--My cat Henry used to lick me when he was happy. Not Hobbes--he just drips love.
Vanilla--I would miss that. I like Hobbes' long tail. You really know he's mad when he's swishing that thing! What happened to Cookie's tail??
JD--We all fight to be Hobbes' favorite around this place, don't we??? I think we are going to have to make a schedule so that everyone has a turn.
Melodie--No kidding! And we are just lucky to have them sit and shed on us!
Chuck--What is with that???! And sometimes it's stinky!! Ewwwwww!
Catherine--Does Banjo lick you? Hobbes will not lick us no matter what. Even Grace will give me a lick every so often--like it is a treat or something.
V7--Oh, I wanna see that! I'm just warning you, it is sorta stinky sometimes!
Nancy--He is scared of the traps, so we let him out if we are with him. He stays pretty clear of those things. I think a lot of kitties drool. Ick.
CG--That's IT! He is just waiting to give you a whiskery head bump on your shoes!
Phyl--Yep. I think he is content just dreaming of her lap. :)
Pricilla--I think it is major love when they drool on you. What an honor. Ick.
Jen--I'm not asking why they do it, but I sure hate it. And if you rub Hobbes the right way--he sorta stinks too. Yeah, it's not very pleasant.
Ozark Mtn Cats--Okay! I was there this morning but didn't have time to leave a comment. I'll do that now!
Ann--What we do for love, eh? He can shed and drool on me as much as he wants. It's the stinky butt I can do without!
Sharky--Isn't he funny??? I love that face in this photo. It is just SO Hobbes.
Tale of the Tail:
Cookie is a rat terrier. While the standard does not require it, it is customary to dock the tail. Some ratties, though, are natural "bobtails" which is the case with Cookie.
Thanks for asking! arf, arf
That photo is so cute! I love his expression and his curled tail. He's such a handsome boy! I didn't know cats drool but we sure get our share of butts in the air around here. Even Sadie will push her butt against us because she likes to have her lower back scratched. But I wouldn't trade any butt time for anything!
I wish I could relax like him. Sitting so regally and totally un-bothered by his surroundings. Dignified. LOL.
Hobbes is a drooler? At least he's not a tooter, right? Especially he does the butt in the face thing.
I love how chilled out Hobbes is. So cool :)
Sounds just like Magick - boy that cat can drool. lol
Vanilla--Oh, poor Cookie! So does she just shake her butt when she's happy??
Beaded Tail--What is with animals and their butts?? I know they like to sniff them, but I DON'T! I like our "butt" time too--it's just something I have to tolerate to have him sit on me.
Petula--Cats are good at relaxing. I guess we need to learn from them, right?
Chocolate--Well, he is a male and he does a little squirt of stinky stuff every so often. That's what scares me when he sticks his butt by me. It's not good.
Dori--He's good at relaxing, Dori. I think it is his specialty. :)
Storm--It's seems a lot of cats drool from what I'm reading here. Silly cats!!
