Prayers are needed today for G'ma Phyl and her cat of 18 years, Bailey. While he lived a good, long life, our little pally isn't doing so well today. His kidneys are failing and while there isn't much hope, it is still very hard to say goodbye to a friend.

Colin and Bailey go way back--this really puts perspective on how long Bailey has been a part of our lives.

My little baby had kidney failure too. She was 15. I know how you feel. Just remember the good times.

Harley and I are sending our best purrs for Bailey and your G'ma Phyl.

Oh, it is so hard. We send all the goat hugs we possibly can.

Thoughts are with you guys. As we go to the vet at 130 today. Hoping the insulin is working on our 13 year old but he isn't well.

Parting with pets is excruciating. Prayers for G'ma. Clearly, you will all miss Bailey, who has been a part of your lives for so long.

Old Cookie (17) is not well today, either.

It's not easy being furry . . .

Not a good for kitties it seems. Zeke is at the vet for tests - may not make it home today, or any other day. Let's all just cherish the time we had with them and remember the love.

Sending peace to Bailey. Kidney failure is so hard on our old cats. That photo shows how much he has been loved by your family.

Awww what a sweet photo! I will keep Bailey in my thoughts today. It's always hard, no matter how much time you've spent together. :(

I understand a hard time like this, so they have my sympathy.

We are sending many purrayers for Bailey and your G'ma Phyl today. I know how hard it is to be in that situation so will keep them in my thoughts.

It's hard to let a pet go, but you just have to. My sympathies for her.

Not an easy thing to lose a fur friend. Duke and I will be thinking of Bailey.

Blueyes--It's hard to lose a furry friend at any age, but those long-time friends are the worst. He isn't suffering and he is still hanging on as of tonight.

Daisy--Thanks, pally. G'ma Phyl appreciates the love.

Pricilla--Thanks, goat pallies. G'ma Phyl is really sad.

Helene--Let me know how you made out. I think it takes a bit to get the insulin amount just right before you see a difference. I'm sending love and prayers to you both.

Vanilla--Bummer about Cookie. :( It's not a good day for old friends. I hope Cookie is doing better tonight. Bailey is still holding on.

Chuck--Nope and it is not easy loving the furred and feathered. They break your heart sometimes.

Grace--What is with everyone today?? Gees, I hope Zeke is okay too. I'm hoping for a positive outcome for you--Bailey is still fighting tonight. It's so hard to lose our furry friends.

DG--He isn't suffering, but he is definitely not doing well. He did try to eat last night, so he still has some fight. We'll know more Sunday.

Storm--Yeah, poor G'ma Phyl is sooo sad. Well--we all are. Bailey is a great cat with lots of spirit.

Ratty--Thanks, pally. Hey, I was thinking of you yesterday when I was at G'ma Phyl's house with her. She has wild parrots in her yard!!!

Beaded Tail--Oh, thanks, pally. It means so much to her. She reads the blog and the comments, so I know it made her feel better.

Writer Lady--Hi, new pally! Yeah, G'ma Phyl is really sad. She has two kitties that keep her company and it is very hard to lose one. She loves that Bailey soooo much.

Ann--Thanks, so much, pally. We are never ready to lose our dear pets.

My human has been out of town for the past couple of days so I saw this just now. I am sending both Bailey and G'ma Phyl lots of purrs. Kidney disease is very common in senior kitties and the best you can do is make them as comfortable as possible.

Ozark Mtn Cats--Thanks, pally. G'ma Phyl let Bailey go yesterday. He was just too old to keep fighting. She is very sad.

Duni--Thanks, pally. G'ma Phyl has read all of the comments and is so thankful for everyone who sent nice words--like you. :) Bailey went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, so he is finally at rest. We miss him terribly.

Roschelle--Yeah, thanks, pally. G'ma Phyl had a rough weekend and is very sad. Bailey passed yesterday peacefully, but we are still very sad to lose him.

Sparkle--G'ma Phyl let Bailey go yesterday. She realized that keeping him alive wasn't the best thing for him. He lived 18 years!! He was the sweetest kitty and we will miss him terribly. Thanks for the kind words.

Tracy--It is hard. But we owe it to our little buddies not to let them suffer. Gees, I wish WE had that option. He's at peace now, but we are all very sad.
