Hobbes thinks playing "kitty tail" is just the best thing ever. I'm not sure it is the grass being dragged all over the back 40 like a snaky or if it just the mere fact that someone is out in the yard with him that makes him so happy--either way, we have fun. He hears the words "kitty tail" and he comes running from wherever. It's pretty hilarious.
And when Kitty Tail begins, not much else gets done around this place. But maybe that's the beauty of Kitty Tail.
I think it's kinda growing on me too.

That looks like a very most excellent game! I love how Hobbes' orange furs look next to the green grass.
It seems during Kitty Tail, Hobbs is not the only one getting exercise.
He looks enormous.
You can just see him thinking - planning his attack. Gotta love the kitties!
Hobbes looks especially cute 'hiding' in the grass.
Sammy likes playing 'kitty tail' too, but I frequently have to change the 'tails' because he gets bored easily...
Hobbes sure knows how to have a good time. He looks so cute laying there in the grass.
Are y'all not getting eaten alive by the mosquitos out that way? Alex and I look like we have the measles. If anyone can get their hands on OFF clip-ons let me know. I don't want to use stuff on our skin but the north suburbs are out of everything anyway now. Someone told me clip ons were good.
Kitty Tail will give way to snow and cold soon enough-enjoy the ottoman. At least his eyes are low :-)
I am thinking that looks like a fun game ~ and probably good for Hobbes' heart health! :)
xo Catherine
'pears to me that the writer is having as much fun as Catottoman.
I love that picture. He's so poised and ready thinking he's hiding in the grass. Perfect catness! :-)
We should all take a lesson from Kitty Tail! (But we have to work sometimes too... gotta buy the kitty food)
I had to really search to find the predator hidden in the grass. He is soooo stealthy.
Ah how cute! I remember when My kitty was younger and would play games with me.. Now she just looks at me like I am crazy!
That sounds like a fabulous way to spend an evening to me :)
It's so cute that he knows the words kitty tail and comes running. He sure is down in stalker mode!
He looks so intent! Must get tail. erm, that didn't sound right.
I can't think of a better way to spend a summer evening than playing kitty tail with Hobbes! He is so handsome and your grass is so green - looks pretty purrfect at your house!
He really does look like an Ottoman in that picture! That's hilarious!
Daisy--I'm kinda learning that orange stripes look good with lots of colors, Daisy. Kitty Tail is very fun and you get LOTS of exercise running after it.
Highway--Well, he is so fast that you sort of just stand in a circle and drag it. So, other than getting dizzy, I don't get much of a workout. :(
Grace--If you click on the photo, you can see how his eyes were crossing! He really loves Kitty Tail.
Duni--Yeah, he gets really low so that we don't see him. Yeah. It doesn't work so good.
Ann--He really loves being outside. I have to force him to come in most nights.
Helene--Oh, they are AWFUL! We are all eaten up too, especially Em because they are marching in the evenings now. They say this is the worst mosquito season in 20 years! I'm all about the DEET at this point. Yeah, I feel bad when winter comes--Hobbes just loves being in the yard and grass.
Catherine--Yep! I get him going so he's out of breath. He's fast for a big guy, I gotta tell ya. Whew!
Vanilla--It is fun! Gees, I love that cat. :) Any time with him is well spent.
Petula--He's so intent on getting that thing that he was cross-eyed. You can see it if you click on the photo.
Sharky--Well, I work during the day and then come home to play Kitty Tail. It is a good routine.
Chuck--Yeah, nobody can see him. ;)
Linda--They reach a point where they just want to watch you play. Ugh. Give me a kitten any day!
Stephanie--Me too! He really likes when we just hang out in the yard together.
Violet--Oh, he can hear those words a mile away! It's funny to see him fly over the fence when he sees us out there.
Pricilla--He was going cross-eyed over that kitty tail! It was hilarious to see him so serious.
Beaded Tail--He has a good life here. He loves the grass and the yard. We are careful to watch him, but he sticks close to home.
Storm--And he weighs as much as an ottoman too!
Just think how much fun it would be if the grass was tall enough for Hobbes to hide in. He'd have endless fun then.
I'm with Daisy - Kitty Tail sounds like a totally fun game!
I just love Hobbes easy to amuse personality. Glad that it keeps him entertained.
Ratty--This photo is almost as good as your "find the squirrel" contests you have. When Hobbes gets low like that, it is very difficult to spot him in the grass, eh? ;)
Sparkle--Ooooh, it is major kitty fun, Sparkle. Everyone should have Kitty Tail to play! Hobbes runs and runs until he has to stop and take a breather. Don't tell him, but it is good exercise for ottomans too.
Chocolate--Oh, kitty tail is VERY exciting, Simone! It's right up there with chasing butterflies. :)
That looks like an awesome game. I think my cats would LOVE it. Too bad we don't have any kitty tails to play with around here.
Well isn't it almost winter up there again? Get as much kitty tail time as you can (I used to love the laser pointer with my cats).
Sorry you didn't make it to NYC. Maybe another time? Like if you come to FL again you should actually call me? Harumph.
A cool game for the kitties! :D
How nice it would be to see Hobbes playing this game. From the photo you could already tell he's planning on a great attack! LOL
Anne--Shhhh, don't tell Hobbes, but Kitty Tail can be anything really. I just grab a branch from the grasses growing in the yard, but I'm sure anything you drag would work. I call it Kitty Tail because it is all fluffy like a kitty tail. Original, eh?
Casey--Ooops. I'll never live that down, not calling while I was in FL, right?? I probably couldn't go to NYC anyway, but gees, we could have had fun. Then I see all the pallies getting together.....sigh. I'm glad you went--I'll bet it was nice to get away from things for awhile. :)
June Zach--Oh, he LOVES Kitty Tail! He's all about chasing that bad boy until he can't run anymore. (It's a good workout more than anything)
So where is that line of cards? Huh? huh? huh?
Tracy--Note cards?? Hmmmm.....we may have to rig that up somehow this winter. You know, when I have a minute to actually sit down. Ugh. You can be my first customer!
The look on his face in this pic is making me cry/laugh. He is so cute I can't stand it!
