Every so often we get a frog that isn't afraid of humans. I've got one frog pally this summer that just sits and looks at me when I come out into the yard--which I love. I like to sit on the patio and just watch the little guy most evenings.
Or maybe he is thoroughly entertained by me.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to know what our animal friends are thinking? Hmmmm..... maybe... :)

Ribbit!
When I first read this I thought it said, "Or maybe he is thoroughly ENCHANTED by me."
You're very enchanting. I think he is enchanted by you. In fact he *might* try to kiss you.
What a beautiful photo! There is something about water and it's contents, little frogs, that just seems to draw people ....
Be verrry careful. If Cardiogirl is right, and he kisses you it could results in warts . . . Ooops that toads, isn't it? Better to be safe than sorry take Mother Lucy Goosey with you for protection.
Love those little froggy legs! I think he is just drunk on the beauty of his world, provided by you!
It was very nice of the froggie to pose so nicely!
really like that photo.
Who knows who he was last time around...it could be a relative.
heh
Hey, little frog friend. I don't have a frog friend at my house because our dog is a notorious frog eater :( Our frogs stay well hidden or they are a snack.
Beautiful pond, and I enjoyed our visit near it last evening. That Hobbs is one happy guy, and even Grace is my pal. Thanks for a nice time. Phyl
it sounds like a mutual kind of friendship. Enjoy it :)
I'd just love to pull up a chair and watch the little froggy with you!
That'd be fun to have a friendly frog to watch rather than ones who hide. Does he stay out when Hobbes comes around too?
I love how you "love" nature and all the little critters that go along with it.
About a week after moving into my house we had a pretty bad thunderstorm...it rained..and...rained and...rained. Later that evening when I walked outside I was met by about 10 frogs! They were everywhere. I'm so afraid of them. I ran back in the house and didn't come back out!
Wish I could be like you :(
Catherine--Oh, I don't know, I kinda like thinking they like me a bit when they probably don't. :) The only real time I would like to communicate with them is when I am trying to help them and they are freaking out--I'd love to be able to tell them I am not going to hurt them.
Vanilla--Oh, you speak frog???!
CG--I like frogs but I'm drawing the line at holding them and kissing them and such. I just like to watch them--no smooching, please!
Melodie--I LOVE the pond by my patio. It is the best thing we have added to our lives. It is amazing what life it brings to the yard.
Chuck--I'm not kissing any frogs! I'm just happy when they don't all plop in the water when I come around! I hope Lucy doesn't scare the frogs too much.
Sharky--Isn't he cute??! He is only about 3 inches in length with his legs outstretched.
Daisy--He was just floating around like that, Daisy. Isn't he cute???!
Grace--I like that frog. He just sits while I maneuver about trying to capture some shots of him. He's a great little guy.
Pricilla--I don't know where he came from. One morning I came out and there were 5 new teeny frogs hanging out. It's just weird how every so often you get one that isn't afraid of us.
Highway--Oh NO! Bad dog! Doesn't he get sick from eating them??
Phyl--Oh, I'm so glad you had fun! That Hobbes needs lots of love. :) I'm glad you got to see that side of him.
Ann--Every so often I get lucky and I get a frog who tolerates me AND my camera. I'm working on getting him to model for me. :)
Violet--C'mon, pally. We could watch them float on lily pads--they are pretty funny little guys. I like when they get scared--they "eep" and plop in the water.
Beaded Tail--The frogs typically don't move when the kitties come by. But if they come too close, the frogs yell "eep!" and plop in the water. Grace doesn't give a hoot about the frogs or the pond, but Hobbes likes to poke things thinking they are the frogs. I think he likes the sound they make too.
Roschelle--The toads and frogs are good because they eat all the bugs around your house. Don't be scared--they will never hurt or go towards you. Our frogs are not pets or anything and we don't touch or hold them. I like having them around because they eat so many bugs out of the garden. Sometimes if they are big frogs, they will eat birds. That's not so nice, but they don't know the difference. Embrace your new frog neighbors, Roschelle.
