There is supposed to be some mystical meaning when a butterfly chooses someone to perch on...Personally I'm not into mystical meanings. Gorgeous child.
Chuck--Jack was so proud that the butterfly landed on his head. Can you tell?
Vanilla--I believe you. You know I don't lie about butterflies. :)
Melodie--Jack was so excited to be the "chosen" one. He spent the rest of the afternoon waiting for it to land on him again, and if I remember correctly, I think it did.
Veronica--I knew you would, pally!
Highway--Much easier than a dog, I guess.
CG--Can you even imagine sitting very still in the yard with Hobbes, waiting for the butterfly to land on you head? It's like heaven, CG. And if you are lucky, you'll catch a peek at the hummingbird too. Glad you like the pop-up.
CG, again--I like your word verification--how funny is that?!
Catherine--He loved Jack's head! Jack would sit there, very still, just waiting for it to land on him again and again.
Beaded Tail--You don't feel it, but you can tell it is on you by the expression of those around you--their eyes get all buggy and excited. :) Jack was very proud to have been chosen by the butterfly.
Pricilla--We have all had it on our head. It's that type of butterfly--it likes to sit on people, believe it or not. I'm not kidding on why it is called an "Admiral Butterfly".
Grace--I'm not into the meaning either, but is awfully cool to have it sit on you. Jack thought so too. Hey, are you hot enough in Philly these days??? Yikes!
Sharky--Oh no! I guess I should have enlarged the photo.
Violet--Really??! They are sort of furry, I guess. I used to raise monarchs so I love how their little caterpillar bodies change.
Fish--Oh, criminy! No, no, no! We have HAPPY things going on here at the Duck and Wheel, Fish!
Ann--What is with you guys and the horn??! I guess I should have enlarged the photo. Isn't it cute though?
I just think life is more fun if we notice the little stuff and laugh...a LOT. I'm lucky to live with a family who humors me, joins in the fun and tolerates me most days.
I have a wee house and yard, but it is loaded with adventures. There isn't a backyard pond owner out there who has more stories about her frogs, snails, fish than me. And I don't even make this stuff up!
I'm glad you are here to laugh with me. Welcome, pallies!

I never doubted your word. Cute picture, and I love that expression.
I believed you, too. Honest.
Well,he is obviously a cute kid...what butterfly wouldn't want to land on him!
I totally believed you too, Lin!
so cute, every boy should have his own butterfly. It teaches them responsibility.
At first I thought he had a teeny, tiny birthday hat on. One that you photoshopped onto his head like JD's crown over there.
And then I read the words beneath. I want a butterfly hat.
p.s. Have I told you how much I love your pop up box lately?
Hey, my comment disappeared. Did you get it? The one that said the kid looked like he had a teeny, tiny birthday hat on?
My word verification is probblen as in Houston we have a probblen. Maybe that's why my other comment disappeared.
What more comfy of a spot then on top of a sweet little boys head? So cute!
xo Catherine
I believed you! Cute photo. Did he even feel the butterfly on his head?
Very sweet. Did you have one too?

Good thing you explained. I thought maybe he was growing a horn.
If the wings were touching me, I'd be fine. It's that creepy buggy center that grosses me out!
Whoa, when I first saw the picture, I thought that a bird had left a little somethin' somethin' behind, and considering where I saw it...
At first it looked like a little horn sticking out of the top of his head...lol Cute picture.

too cute :)
I wish a butterfly would land on me. Preferably in my mouth.
I wanna be a butterfly and sit on heads.
How cute! :D
When I went to a butterfly sanctuary before I had butterflies sit on my head. LOL
Roschelle--These butterflies do this all the time. Cool, eh?
Sparkle--No, No, No, Sparkle!! Bad kitty!
Jodi--I'd like to poop on certain heads. ;) Hey, are you back??!
JuneZach--I have too! Isn't it cool?! I think you can only tell that a butterfly is on you by the reaction of those around you.
Lin, nope not back yet. Saturday. But an in a world where there is internet service. Not a luxuary I have had often in the 15 days.
