Chocolate--Well, as long as it isn't MY fish, we can be friends.
Marilynne--I still don't know what got my fish, but I don't have any fish left to eat other than minnows. Those guys are smart and don't hang out in the shallows like the goldfish, so they should be safe. So, whether it is the urine or the fact that there is nothing left to eat, I'm hoping the scallywag left for good.
Vanilla--I don't really think it is a coyote, but I thought the photo was pretty funny considering what I posted yesterday. No worries, mate.
Sharky--Nope! Fran's Dad sent that photo to me in an email. I thought it was funny considering I spent $20 on coyote urine to scare off predators.
Well it may keep other critters away but I suppose it would be of interest to another coyote. Funny but I had just gone and gotten another cup of coffee before I read your post :)
Whew! I thought that was in your yard. Glad it's not and hopefully you'll solve the mystery soon... I'm a little confused though: Isn't your yard fenced in? Is this a jumping coyote? Flying fox? Maybe a raccoon.
I just think life is more fun if we notice the little stuff and laugh...a LOT. I'm lucky to live with a family who humors me, joins in the fun and tolerates me most days.
I have a wee house and yard, but it is loaded with adventures. There isn't a backyard pond owner out there who has more stories about her frogs, snails, fish than me. And I don't even make this stuff up!
I'm glad you are here to laugh with me. Welcome, pallies!

Coyotes don't like to be held and squeezed, so be careful how you collect it LOL
Looks like he's trying to make friends. He bought dinner for you!
Now you know, what can you do about it? Only fix it so he can't reach the fish - or put feeder goldfish in the pond until he gets tired of it.
Well, no. If your predator is, in fact, a coyote, then you probably have attracted more of them.
Now, who's a buzzkill?
Hoping you didn't take that in your backyard
Coyotes gotta eat.
Terra--I'm not asking how you know that. ;)

AAAAIIIIIEEEEEEE! Run for your life!
Well... we will keep our fingers crossed for you! ;)

Ann--I dunno. I wonder if the male's urine keeps others at bay and IF I got male urine in that bottle. ????
Daisy--Is VERY stinky, Daisy. VERY. STINKY.
Catherine--Well, being that there are no more big fish, I doubt anyone is coming over anymore. It's kinda sad, isn't it?
