I have learned, over time, to laugh and enjoy the silly things of this life. And I prefer to surround myself with people who make me laugh and to be silly with me. Irene is one of those people.
Sure, we just happen to work in connecting cubes at work, but I find it hilarious that she requested mouse ears from my recent trip to Disney. I also find it even more hilarious that she proceeded to wear them around the office the entire day upon my return.
Oh, sure, there were polite chuckles and lots of eye-rolling, but we laughed and laughed hard. She makes work fun and that is what it is all about, Charlie Brown--making the most of this life. Finding joy in the mundane.
Happy weekend, pallies. Go out there and make some fun. Go look for the madness in your day--the maraca solos and mouse ears of your life. Hang out with the people who make you laugh and feel those stomach muscles that ache from laughing too hard--if there is such a thing.
Go enjoy your life. That's what I'm gonna do.

Laughter is always good. I always try to amuse my co-workers and the boys in my Sunday School class.
It is such a nice day, and a Friday, Irene decided to start her weekend early - took her mouse ears and scampered off.
I love the Irene's of the world. They have made the cubicle tolerable for me.
I hope fun loving positive people don't go the way of the dinosaur.

That's OK. I can use my imagination. I probably would've requested mouse ears too -- or maybe one of those huge Mickey Mouse gloves? Either way, I would've worn my souvenir proudly around the office.
I'm getting together with a friend today and, mouse ears or not, we are going to laugh our butts off.
No picture here either, sorry. Irene sounds like a hoot. I love work friends that make the day more fun.

There isn't a thing wrong with wearing Mickey ears all day at work! I once dressed up in full clown gear, including big red shoes and balloons, for Halloween at work. I acted like I wasn't dressed that way. It threw people off and gave them a good laugh. I wouldn't have a problem dressing like that every day if they'd let me.

Today is the start of two weeks of really enjoying life for me. And, I don't even need to borrow Irene's mouse ears ;-)
I work with some pretty awesome folks too. They make having to deal with the erk-jays tolerable
She sounds fun and has the right attitude, can you imagine going to work all day without having a few giggles. Viva the mickey mouse ears.
Jen--Irene makes it feel like you aren't at work. Thank god for Irene!! At least I have someone to laugh with.

Ryan--Working with Irene is always a hoot. We go back and forth cracking up over the cubicle walls all day. I think we scare away the rest of the people in the office. They leave us alone a LOT.
