The bad part of vacation is leaving Hobbes and Grace at home,
I spend half my vacation missing them. And this vacation

And then I saw Tigger and it made me miss Hobbes even more.
Apparently orange stripeys are a favorite of yours too
because more than one of you mentioned Tigger this week.
And all that orange stripeyness made me think of Hobbes
when Betty and I went for our tatoos.
I think you can figure out which leg is mine and which
one is Betty's.

I miss my pets when I'm away too. I certainly would miss the beautiful fella in the pic above.
Isn't it hard leaving our sweet kitties at home by themselves? And having to see Tigger wouldn't help either ~ ha!

I was always obsessed with tigger as a kid. And also marmalades. I don't know which came first.
Tigger is no replacement for Hobbes! I would like to see a photo of them both together though.
It's a good thing my fiance does not go blog hopping, because I have to confess that I miss sleeping with the cats even more than I miss sleeping with him when I'm out of town!

Daisy--It was very tough to decide, Daisy. There are lots of cute ones to get. It's a good thing they weren't permanent!
DG--Oh, I miss them terribly and I try not to think of them all alone! Grace usually snubs me when I first get home, but by the middle of the night she wants me to hold her. I guess I need to be punished.
Catherine--I always laugh because their caregiver doesn't have a cat and she isn't used to Hobbes looking for cuddles while we are gone. I think I'm gonna have to have the Hobbes Fan Club step up for duty the next time we go away!
Highway--NO WAY! I don't want to be referred to as "Tigger Lady" in the nursing home. ;)
Melodie--Oops. :( But I do give them LOTS of love when we come home. Does that count???
A.Marie--How are YOU??! I miss you tons. I think it is good for everyone for us to go on vacation every now and then. Even the kitties need a break, I think. They have a great caregiver, but it is still hard to have their family gone.
lynne--No WAY!! That is funny! Is he cute like Hobbes too?
Jen--Yep! Grace always snubs me initially, but she soon forgives me and sheds all over me. The first thing they do is run outside because they aren't allowed out when we aren't home.
peewee--Mine is a black cat. I grew up with the most fantastic cat named Spooky. He raised a very high bar for great cats.
DJ--Oh, THAT would have been interesting!! Can you imagine a very hot Hobbes in Disney?? I'm lucky I didn't melt!
Janiss--The difference is that you can call him and talk to him while he is away, but you can't do that with your pets. I really miss them when we are gone and I try not to think about it or it ruins my vacation.

Chocolate--Hobbes was very lonesome while we were gone. He needs some cuddling every day and he didn't get that. I'm gonna have the pallies here sign up for Hobbes Duty for our next vacation!
Beaded Tail--Hobbes was VERY happy, but Grace punishes us by ignoring us for a few hours upon return. She comes around--in the middle of the night.
Vanilla7--Yeah, that would be the size tattoo I would get! Nah, Betty got Tinkerbell and I got baby Tigger--the Hobbes look-alike.
Cute--I know far too many people who won't even leave their homes for vacation! They are afraid to leave and find a new adventure, so I guess change of scenery is tough. I like to leave Weirdville, but I really like to come home after a week or so.

Hot Rocks--Well, Betty and I are wild, but not THAT wild. We thought we were cool just getting the fake ones! Although I did have to talk Betty out of getting her face painted with a pirate beard after the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! Now THAT would have been hilarious!
Anne--Oh, there were so many to choose from! I knew I had to have an orange stripey tattoo right from the start though. :)
Stephanie--I was sad to see it wash off a couple of days later. :(
