I Love Hobbes Thursday

Hobbes finds amusement in poking here and there in the pond, hoping to make a hidden frog plop into the cold water with a little "eep!". I don't think he sees them half the time as I found him poking a rock gingerly the other day thinking it was a frog.

The frogs have wizened up now and they just jump in when they see him coming. And instead of being disappointed, homeboy just plays it off by taking a little drink instead.

He is one cool cat.

The rabbits ate my emerging sunflower sproutings :-( Please send Hobbes this way-he has class.

I'm glad he's not offended that they run at the sight of him. ;)

Is it Thursday already? I use your Hobbes posts to know where we are in the week. It's better than the calendar!

Our Weenie Dog catches little frogs and hides them in her mouth, then she brings them inside and releases them! Weird....

No frogs legs for Hobbes!

my friend Marcy fosters kitty cats, she has 8 right now and I stayed overnight last Saturday/Sunday... they're more fun than TV

I bet those frogs think they are pulling one over on Hobbes but we know different. He's just one cool cat looking for a place to chill

How cute he was poking at a rock thinking it was a frog! He is just the sweetest, most entertaining handsome boy! I'm thinking it's about time for Hobbes Cam so we can watch his antics all the time!

If that were MY pond, the frogs would... they'd... well, they would probably just do whatever frogs do when they know they're safe because the cat hovering nearby is deathly afraid of water.

Hobbes is one great cat all right! Very cool, indeed. My Spunky Doodle would love a pond like that. She likes to paw the water and would especially be entertained with frogs in it.

Smart kitty, finding even a rock to play with. :)

Gosh...wouldn't every cat love a little pond such as Hobbes has. Lucky kitty!

Lin- I have decided, after protesting with myself, that I want a 'Hobbes' like Cat.

Have a fantastic weekend, and beyond.

What a cutie. Sounds like he has a lot of fun around the pond. The days are certainly warm enough for lounging around bodies of water.

Here's to Hobbes!

The garden is beautiful around your pond and sets Hobbes off perfectly.

He does sound like a cool cat! I just found your blog. Cats AND Snails? I'm yours!

Helene--Nooooo! They aren't so cute anymore, eh?

Violet--Hey, snappy new button! No, he likes the little splash they make.

CG--Imagine if the Mayan's had a stripey cat like mine!

Chuck--Keeper of the world, I think. ;)

Melodie--I like the frogs, but even I would be a tad creeped out by that! Bad, Weenie Dog!

Tracy--You can't go wrong with Stripey Goodness EVER, Tracy!

peewee--Yeah, no kidding! Life is good for Hobbes.

Grace--He used to be more ginger when he was a kitten. Somehow he has turned orange!

Pricilla--No, I think it's because he is well fed. I have had a few half-eaten frog finds here and there. I'm sure it was a stray or a raccoon--it happens. :(

Split Rock--He is an adventure!

Lauren--That sounds like a BLAST!! I love kittens--how they are so wild and then.....boom! Asleep! And they all like to be held. Awwwwww.

Ann--I think they just see a big orange stripey coming and they run for cover!!

Beaded Tail--I think a collar cam might be very interesting on that guy! Maybe we don't want to know what he is up to. hmmmmm.....

Sparkle--I think Hobbes is too, but he can reach the planters where they sit very easily by the ledge. He doesn't have to touch the water to make them plop in.

Karen--I think those kitties love to paw the water--it's the getting in it that they don't like so much! :)

Storm--Or he's really, really dumb. ;)

Catherine--I think it is just the whole yard that he loves. He especially loves the little cat door that gives him free access to the world.

Don--Hobbes is one (big) part orange stripey, one part great kitty, and one part that I watch what he does....a lot. Someone might have a kitty just like him, but they don't see the humor. I hope you get one like Hobbes too.

Jen--The weather here has been really funky--hot then cold then rainy and icky. The pond raised its white flag and turned itself green this week. Now poor Hobbes can't see the fish OR the frogs anymore.

Highway--Orange goes with everything, you know. ;)

Katherine--You can share Hobbes with me here. :)

Bossy Betty--Hi, new pally! Yep, we have all sorts of weirdness here. Glad you joined in! :)
