We came back from our vacation only to be swamped with new have-tos--Em's taking a class this summer and starting Driver's Ed. Col is off to register for his college classes after he has oral surgery next week, and I'm trying to plan a graduation party while trying to keep up with them and go to work as well. Squeeze in some doctor and dentist appointments and tons of parties and I'm feeling kinda frazzled.
And while it seems everyone else is enjoying the ride, I'm feeling like Em in the back seat of the Rock 'N Roller Coaster--a tad freaked out.
Give me to Sunday, after our party, and perhaps I will be back to dull, boring, old me. All this excitement is just too much on some days and I just want off the ride.

Seems like sometimes there is way too much going on. I know it has been real busy here at home as well, with family commitments, school coming to an end, concert recitals, teacher meetings, scout camps, craft shows, appointments etc!! I cannot wait to go on vacation and just take a big long breather!
"Simplicity" in life is very under-rated is it not? Looks like you had a terrific vacation though. Lots of lovely memories made. Welcome home ~ hope you get de-stressed soon friend!
xo Catherine
I have been having the opposite problem...I have been bored to tears now that it is too hot to enjoy out doors, plus the Boy is away at camp this week. Looks like you all had a great vacation!
Yes but would you really want to live an alpha-wave life? Granted you are super busy but it's all good stuff, well maybe not oral surgery.
You dull and boring? Never! If your kids, pets or work are driving you to distraction, you'll find something else to keep life interesting. Perhaps do a rain dance on a sunny day.
Just relax. We will all still be here.
No worries.
Lots happening, but it's all good positive things! Yeah!
Hang on and keep your legs and arms inside the ride and you'll be OK.
Seems this summer is just happening fast, I hear you.
Time to sit by the pond a few hours and just chill, I think
I like the frazzled Lin, she's fun and exciting ;-)
I don't envy you the hectic schedule I'll just keep my slow paced boring lifestyle :)
I agree that life is just too much like a roller coaster right now. Can someone stop the ride because I want to get off!!
I hate weeks like that! You just focus on what needs doing and let the rest go. Sorry for all the stress!
Hot Rocks--I went on vacation and I'm STILL waiting for the breather! Maybe after our party this weekend....
Catherine--I just want to be bored for a day--just one day. Is that too much to ask??? Sigh, even work is stinky.
Melodie--Can we switch?? Please??! I'll bet you miss your son though--that is hard when they aren't there. :(
Grace--I guess you are right, but I sure would like a moment of peace to myself to perhaps catch up with everyone's blogs. Or a good nap. :)
Chuck--You are right--there is always something going on, right?? I guess it is all a state of mind--well, that's what I'm always saying anyway. Okay, after the party on Saturday, I'm gonna go in to "chill" mode. Thanks, Chuck. ;)
Pricilla--Yeah, but then I miss everyone!! I can't win. :(
Bossy Betty--How come you didn't totally crack up at Em's face???! I mean, look how hilariously scared that kid is! Heeeehhheeee!
Tracy--Even the pond is in a funk--it is green and icky. My little fish died and I can't see the other one. :( Now it is raining and the darn thing is flooding over it's sides!! Yikes!! Do you not love Em's face in that photo??? I'm still cracking up.
Jodi--What??! Really???! I personally like Boozin'-it-up-Lin myself. ;)
Ann--It's CRAZY! I'm miserable running like this. Well, once the party is over, I think I'll be okay. Pray for sun, okay?
Stephanie--So, it's you and me looking like Em on the Roller Coaster of life these days. I sure hope your "water ride" is over and you are safe.
Violet--You know it is bad when there are lists everywhere! Oh well, someday I'm gonna have plenty of time to be bored I guess. Ugh.
Just don't off the ride in the midway Lin :)
Hope you have time to relax and enjoy little moments during all the hectic times right now! Hope all goes well with Col's oral surgery too!
I admire your illustration. Life is like a roller coaster. Sometimes it freaks you to be out of control with the things going on with your life. The best part you could do is to remain steady realizing you could have fun and enjoy the ride of your life no matter how scary it might be. I learned a lesson from this post. Thanks! :D
Yep, it's time for the hip-waders to come out!
Vanilla7--Hahaha!! I'm surprised not one person commented on Em's hilarious face in the backseat! Even I was laughing at her!
Beaded Tail--I feel bad because I can't get to my favorite blogs to read and comment--that is what bothers me most. I want to be able to do it all!!
JuneZach--I was really just looking for a reason to post this silly photo of Emma! ;)
Fish--I think you are right! Even the pond is funky--it turned green and murky with all the rain we've been having. I think it is a sign to get the waders out!
Hahaha! And I was too serious though! LOL
Yeah... I could remember the first time I rode on a roller coaster. ^_^
Lin, thank you very much for your valuable comments in my blog posts. As I always do every month, here's my simple gesture of saying I really appreciate all your support to my blog. Please check this out: http://junezach.com/2010/06/15/may-2010-commenters-a-special-thanks-and-two-little-surprises/
I'm pretty sure it will be worth the ride. Besides, dull and boring is just that. You've got a crazy life but a great one.
JuneZach--Thanks for the points, pally! And the mention. Don't you just love Em's terrified face??? I think it is hysterical!
Casey--I like my life and the kids just make it more exciting. You know, right?!
