I Love Hobbes Thursday

While I'm perusing the baby photos, I might as well post this one:

Baby Face Malone (aka Baby Hobbes)

Can you believe how little he was? Sigh. Gees, even the cat is growing up these days.

After I see my sonny boy off to Prom on Friday, I'm gonna collapse in a heap of exhaustion. Sheesh, what a week it has been! It's been all good--last home and away tennis matches, last band concert and awards night, last band parent's meeting and saying goodbye to graduating parents, the education committee meeting, and prom.

So, while I have missed visiting you all this week, know that I am living life away from the computer and soaking up the last moments of my son's Senior year of high school. It's been bittersweet and exhausting trying to hang onto every last second of all of this. Sigh. It all goes too fast. Way too fast.

Prom and graduation? It seems light years away, but it's really only four years away. Four years that will go in a flash. (Sigh)

P.s. Love this picture of baby Hobbes.

Too too cute!

And that is WAY too many activities for a mama to have to deal with in one week!

First, what a wonderful kitty pic. Greeting card wonderful great.

Sounds like a lot of bitter-sweet stuff going on in your world.

Hi Lin,

Wow, sounds like you've been swamped with life! But, in a way, that's a good thing. A great thing. I do hope things slow down for you soon and you're able to get some rest and really reflect on everything from this past year.

Love the little kitty picture :) Such a charming little man.

Happy Thursday,
Jen

Boy, Hobbes was sure cute! I've got to dig out some kitten pics of Calle-Boy-Cat soon. (I have started to call him this because some commenters unfamilar with Swedish nicknames think that he is a girl cat. They can't help it. But I've got to correct this now!)

My baby Elisabet will be six years old May twelth. So much to do for a children's party that the kids probably will not even attend (I mean her classmates at preschool).

Spring is cold, which means that we can still enjoy our tulips and daffodils and grape hyasinths. Forsythia bushes are still yellow with flowers.

So, forgive me if I am not a good commenter for a few days! But thanks for visiting my p-post.
Hugs,
Anna

DG--Don't blink, DG!

Catherine--Not enough hours in the day this week! But it is all good so I am not complaining. :)

Diana--Oh, there is more that I didn't even list! You know--when it rains, it pours.

Tracy--Look! He wasn't even orange yet there!

Chuck--He has a baby face, doesn't he?? Go check Midnight's photos--I'll bet you see a huge difference in him too.

Grace--Oh, it's been a whirlwind this week! I'm pooped. But it is all good. :)

Jen--Hi, Jen! I have missed you! I have been M.I.A. in the blog world this week and hope to catch up this weekend. Have you posted???

Anna--I haven't been around the blogs at all this week, so you get a mulligan here. Some weeks are like that. :) Hope Elisebet has a wonderful birthday!!!

CG--He isn't really orange in that photo either! He's got his baby color on. :)

Cute--Let's see YOUR baby photos!! I love baby photos. Look--Hobbes isn't really orange yet there. He's more ginger.

Pricilla--He does! I love his little baby face in that photo. It's funny how their faces change--like children.

Ann--Sigh. Seems like yesterday. :) Do you have Duke's baby photos?? I'd like to see those.

Beaded Tail--Colin and Hobbes were babies just yesterday! Yikes. I am missing everyone and their blogs, but I will catch up this weekend. But I have been really enjoying all these last activities with Colin. I was referred to a PT who specializes in what I have believe it or not! Hooray!

Jude--As hard as it was for me to turn the computer off, that is exactly what I did this week. I didn't want to lose one minute of this time with Colin. I know you understand. ;)

Adorable Hobbes-as-kitten photo!

Wait a minute... you mean that someone out there (namely you) actually has a LIFE?! I think I've forgotten what that is.

I like baby Hobbs. He looks like my last cat, Red. Red disappeared before he got to be as big as grownup Hobbs.

Lin said...

Janiss--Yep! And sometimes that life takes over everything in spite of our rebellion. I'm hoping for a quieter week next week.

Vanilla7--I miss his kitten stage--he was really cuddly as a baby! Did you notice he wasn't as orange back then?

Ratty--Oh, that is so sad! I think you need to get yourself another red/orange cat--they are the best.
