Drum roll.................

Clear the dance floor, put down your cocktails, kick off your uncomfortable dressy shoes, and get ready for the winners of Prom King and Prom Queen 2010 Duck and Wheel style!

Although the competition was stiff for the gals, Jodi earned her crown with that crazy straight/ruffled metallic mess of a dress she was wearing. Although her translucent skin, giant funeral bouquet, and creepy date helped her score the tiara, Kimberly totally claims Runner Up--should Jodi pass out in the ladies room or something. Casey and I stand there, open mouthed, unbelieving that we didn't win that damn crown.

Joe with the Cinnamon Roll Hair is her man for the evening--wiping out the competition for Prom King against tough competition from Nino, "The Minister". Secretly, I think that velour-looking brown tux was the clincher--I mean, who doesn't want that as their date?? (Uh....ME.)

Photobucket Photobucket

Imagine now that the lights dim, the newly crowned couple takes the dance floor, and the rest of the prom goers all gather round to watch the King and Queen dance to some lame Prom song like "Love Will Keep Us Together" by the Captain and Tenille. Ahhhh, sweet, eh?

Kinda glad you stayed home, I bet.

That picture of the guys made me have some serious flashbacks. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEsh. Hard to believe I graduated 33 years ago when those pictures make me feel like it was 5 minutes ago.

As soon as I saw his pic, I knew Smokin' Joe had it in the bag. Admit it Lin--he's still da man.

Except for the cinnamon roll hair (and the cigar), that was TOTALLY my prom date.

Now, where can I get a metallic dress like that?

Wait, are they going to dance to Muskrat Love next?

Sooooo glad I didn't have to wear the bad dress... although my wedding gown looks pretty bad now.
heh
Congrats to the big erm, winners.

Yeah!!! to the winners. Please throw in a good slow dance to Muskrat Love... it is sooo romantical.

Woo hoo! I picked both winners!

You know Cinnabon hair had to win and that quasi mullet hair.

Kind of ironic...I've never had a mullet.

Congratulations to the Prom King and Queen! Maybe you can sneak a dance in with the King - without the brown suit of course!

Well that's the closest I came to even being in the royal family so thanks for letting me play.

Congrats, Jodi, Kimberly and Joe. You guys rocked this thing.

I am honored to be crowned Prom Queen. Hey QUEEN, that date of mine was the worst ever so I doubt any notion of losing my panties was on the radar. I think maybe those looks on our faces were--we should have stayed home. LOL

Now I believe in true dance fashion I will be back next year to pass my crown to the next queen.

Oh and hey were is my bigger bouquet...maybe a dozen long stem roses with a big bow? But I love my crown!

Helene--I'm just glad that Joe doesn't still look like that!

Catherine--Why do the "dork" posts always hit home??? It's funny how we can all embrace our inner dork. :)

Chuck--Joe is such a dork! And to think he didn't want me to post that photo! Ha! Little did he know how popular he was gonna be.

Queen--I'll bet her date is REALLY smiling now!

Katherine--Joe thinks he's something now. Sheesh.

Violet--I have to admit I'm a tad bit jealous of Jodi and that lovely dress. :)

Sharky--Yeah, I just hope they don't dance too close! ;)

Jo--It's funny, but the Dork photos and Hobbes are my biggest readership days. Go figure.

Jen--I had to go search out that photo of Joe because he didn't want me to post it. Now? Oh, he's all proud of himself. Arrrgh.

JD--Jodi still has that dress! She said her daughters try it on periodically for laughs. Maybe you can get it from her.

CG--Darn! That should have been the first dance song!

Grace--Yeah, lucky aren't they?? Yeah....no.

Pricilla--I can't complain about my dress, but my date AND my husband look like goofs. Lucky me.

Highway--That is a great prom song! I can't believe I didn't think of it!!

Casey--Thanks for joining in, pally! You are always game and I appreciate that. (Yea for you and me who didn't look so bad in comparison!)

Ann--Yeah....lucky them. ;)

A. Marie--The funny part is that it really WAS the requirement for my prom date. Ugh. I should have stayed home.

Jodi--There was some difficulty in switching from photoshop to photobucket and I gave up after a bit. I did give you the flashy stars though--much better than any bouquet! And your prom date sounds very much like mine--dullsville.
