A self-appointed grump, Grace says she doesn't like mushy or inspirational posts. Her comment to my happy snail post was this:
"Ah, all you happy, positive people - so not my nature - finding a snail - regardless of size? would simply elicit a huge "ewww" from me. Small thing that would make me blissfully happy? One way ticket outta here..."It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...." La La La"Okay, so that is very Bert-like, don't you think?? And after I laughed at her comment, I realized that while she is like Bert, I'm kinda like Ernie, cracking myself up most of the time. And her "La La La" at the end of her comment just reminded me of this:
C'mon, Grace. Won't you la, la, la, la, la with me?

I just la la la la love both you and Grace...lol That could be because I have a dual personality. I'm a little bit Burt and little bit Ernie.
Funny enough, I enjoy both your blogs. And so does Sparkle.
Good to see your attempt to get Grace chirked up a bit. (Almost said "nice," but Grace wouldn't like nice. I'm with Janiss: I enjoy reading both of you.
wv: urantr (Grace?)
Bite Me! LOL And like you, I crack myself up - sometimes I'm the only one laughing with me, - everyone laughs with you, you make everyone laugh - in a good way I mean, I'm digging a deep hole here, aren't I? (It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....la, la, la....trailing off into bemusement, slowly walking away).
Hi Lin - have a great day!
There has to be a Bert for every Ernie. Or the world would be out of balance.
Yes,my son is always telling me I am not funny..I tell him I amuse myself and that is all that counts!
That's a La La Pa Looza . . .
OK, that really was cute. I missed the whole Sesame Street thing because it was after I grew up, and we couldn't get PBS when the kids were small.
Ann--Who doesn't embrace their inner Bert sometimes??? I do too, although I love to tease Grace about it. ;)
Janiss--I don't see Grace as grumpy as she does, so I think it is funny that she describes herself that way. I like her blog too.
Vanilla--I like to tease Grace every now and then to make her smile. I don't think she is half as crabby as she says she is.
Grace--I know you secretly love this. :) I'm glad you are my "grumpy" friend.
Pricilla--Yep. I love Bert's very serious way of looking at things sometimes. I like how he is eternally dorky--who hasn't felt like Bert at some time?? If you don't you are fooling yourself. :)
Melodie--Yeah, kids don't ever think we are funny, do they?? They secretly love that though, I've learned.
Chuck--LOL! Good one, Chuck. I'm sure Grace LOVES that one. :)
La, la, la, la .... loopy. This was cute, I'm not too familiar with the Sasame Street gang--I grew up on the Little Rascals.
Sharky--Oh, you were missing out. Ernie and Bert were sort of cute. Bert was always the straight man to Ernie's wackiness. It's funny how I refer to them even today--years later.
Karen--Yeah, they are cute, aren't they?? But I'm with you on the Little Rascals--gees, those were GREAT. I loved when they would put on a show.
I do, I do (love the post) - "there's a minimum of aluminum in linoleum" One of my favorite tongue twister....
WOW it's been a LONG time since I saw that skit! Like, a whole 5 or 6 years! LOL I loved Bert & Ernie.
So... you also "Do the Pigeon," eh?
As I told Grace, you two are so funny but I enjoy both of you very much! You are two of our favorite bloggers!
Grace--I KNEW you liked linoleum! ;)
Rebecca--Nope, but I can "Put Down the Ducky" like nobody's business!
Beaded Tail--We have quite the group, don't we??? I mean, these are all great bloggers--you included!
