This week's dinner conversation

Frankie and Evelyn broke up last week. Yep. Evelyn is already going out with someone else. Who? I don't know, but it is not Manzo, the manwhore. He's a manwhore, but he's nice too.

Who broke up with who? Evelyn broke up with Frankie. Frankie was mad, but now he likes Julia. But he doesn't really like Julia, he's sort of just using Julia to get make Evelyn jealous.

Was that Evelyn with Frankie at Parent-Teacher conferences? Nope. That was Leah. She's going out with Manzo, but she's a whore--a bigger whore than Manzo.

Just for the record--I have no idea who Frankie and Evelyn are either. And Joe is more confused than you are--and he's sitting here listening to this with me.

I thought Frankie and Johnny were lovers, and that they never did nobody no harm?

LOL @ FishHawk, he has a point. At first I thought that maybe you were talking about neighborhood cats or something but now I assume this was the side of a phone conversation that you and Joe were hearing

At least she's talking about it with you. Just nod and raise your eyebrows at every mention of the word whore.

Fish--Well, with Frankie and Evelyn, it seems like there are a lot more people involved. I love teen drama.

Ann--This was our dinner conversation this week. Well, between the kids. Joe and I just listened--totally confused. This is our life.

Vanilla--Yeah, no kidding! You should see Joe trying to figure out who is going out with who. :)

DG--Yep, you are totally right. But it makes my head spin.

Me too, at first I thought you were talking about kitties or woofies. I enjoy eavesdropping on young people's conversations. Sometimes I am aghast but mostly amused. To quote Maurice Chevalier "I'm glad I'm not young any more" (another one of my musical references).

Then you reach the point where they won't discuss anything in your presence.

Leave Frankie alone!

So these are high schoolers you're talking about? I thought you were talking about neighbors too.

I hear stuff like that all the time from my son, but for Freshman, 'going together' just means they like each other. Thankfully it doesn't mean dating yet. At least at my son's school.

And I thought it was the cats in the neighborhood....

But they should be fixed.

That whole conversation rings a bell. Brings back memories of my daughters dinner conversations. The amazing thing is that I sorta kept track of who was who and who went out with who and who broke up with who and who stole who from some other who. You just develop teen mommy ears after awhile. The dads are the ones that still have to grasp it..they are a bit slower. (No offense to Joe!)

I'm usually so out of the loop I never know who was doing what with whom. I just try to keep track of what I'm doing!

Manzo the manwhore is going out with Leah the bigger whore? Whoa! Who woulda thunk it? LOL

Thanks for cheering me on! I won second prize in Mariuca's contest giveaway! She gave me 15,000 ec-credits!
Wow!

I thought your text was about cats talking about each other. It's March...

Anyway... Thanks for your support! Hugs

Grace--It's hilarious to hear them talking about all this drama. I like to see the kids at the high school then. Joe is just confused all the way around. It's funny how they think this stuff is so important.

Patricia--Yeah, so I'm enjoying it. It's kinda funny to see the kids then, after you hear so much.

Cute--I think Frankie is holding his own, actually. He didn't look unhappy with a girlie next to him at conferences. :)

Lola--Nope. I'm ignoring the neighbors this summer. This is teen drama from school, which totally cracks me up--and confuses the hell out of Joe.

Pricilla--I think cats are above all that, don't you?? LOL! Nope--teen drama. It's all pretty funny to listen to.

Chocolate--You are dead on! That is exactly what is happening here!!! I like to see the kids then, after I have heard their whole life story.

Sharky--I'm like you, so it's funny to hear the "scoop" from the kids. Joe can't remember who is who from one day to the next.

Beaded Tail--Yeah, it's something, isn't it??! LOL! It's just so funny to listen to all of it. And I find myself asking them how Frankie and Evelyn are doing now.

Anna--Wow! Congrats on the win!! That is a huge win!!!

Ahhh, teenage dating drama. So urgent, so interesting, so vital. I'm glad I'm out of all of that.

Frankie's gay. It ended.

Lin said...

Buggys--LOL! Yeah, me too. It sure is funny to listen to now though--like it's the end of the world. Ha! Ha!

Braja--Or he's gonna end up with Leah, the whore. Who knows??? STay tuned, new pally.

Tracy--This is the madness that is my life. Really. This is REALLY the dinner conversation around the meatloaf. I think you know how it is. ;)

Mountain Woman--Hey, pally! You back up now?? I'm waiting to see that new blog layout.

That photo of Hobbes is so perfect for this post. He could not be less interested.

Tracy--I know, you share my hell.

CG--Is that really a comment from 3:44 AM?? Like in the middle of the night???! Hobbes looks like I do while this tale carries out, but I pretend to care.

Wha What? I can't wait for that dinner conversation. Actually, I can. Ha.
